Sancho as a wide 10, not wing back. Elanga isn't a wing back nor is he a 10, he's a winger who wants space to run into and wants to run at players. Sancho like playing in the pockets and linking up with players in those small spaces and being agile, not really needing the run in behind speed, which is exactly what Amorim likes for his 10's. It's the exact role that Sancho was seen as a world class talent at Dortmund. Our mistake that we seemingly keep making is that we sign players who excel in one role, and use them in a drastically different role and then question why it doesn't work.

Going from leading the table to falling completely out of the title conversation in about a month is absolutely a crisis for a club aiming for all the big trophies.

It's just because we're now looking at top 4 being a major achievement that it seems like it was no crisis at all.

Nah, although a better fit than ETH, Amorim's system requires a high-press from his 3 main attackers. Sancho doesn't have the stamina, durability or desire to fit that role in the Premier League.

I think Elanga has more to offer than you suggest, although I think we should be aiming for a higher quality option there. Think he would probably do a better job at WB than the majority of what we've already tried.
 
The bottom half of the league is once again really poor. These teams stand no chance of staying up after promotion
 
Maybe we should try and pinch Mbeumo and Wissa.... They're class.
 
Palmer was abysmal in the second half. Thought he should have been hooked before he let them back in it.
 
Hope the game goes ahead tomorrow. Seems like everyone apart from Gomez is available (Konate is back in full training).

Didn’t watch the Spurs game but Postecoglou was raging about a handball in the build up by Joelinton. Sound familiar? Did he have a case? Or is it just sour grapes? Or is it a rule that can Joelinton not be penalised for handball?

For all the talk of our relegation crisis we’re two points behind Spurs with a game in hand
