Premier League - Matchday 20

That's irrelevant because Arsenal are nowhere near the title or Liverpool in general.
They are in 2nd place and if they didn't drop points today they would have closed the gap. How is that not nowhere near Liverpool? I know we haven't been in the best form but how do you know we won't win tomorrow or that Liverpool will keep winning?

Good result.

Arsenal are so dull, no creativity whatsoever without Saka.
Creativity dropping without your best player is acceptable (take Salah out of Liverpool and they are a different team) but lack of attacking intent is definitely not. I can understand us being less effective going forward, but there is no excuse for how slow we are in build up.

The luck of Liverpool that everyone else in the league turns to shit the season they get their act together.

Question for you guys, if Taylor didn't give the pen, do you think VAR would have acted ? For me, I'd say no
I maintain it's a weird pen. People colliding with their heads in an arial duel are often not called as fouls.

I would have thought that VAR would see Saliba actually gets a touch on the ball before making contact with Pedro's head. Usually in that situation they don't give a foul.

No excuses though, we were shocking today. I know flu is going round the camp, but we played like every player had it. The passing was shocking!

Except for, you know, multiple seasons where they were at their best, Man City had to have inhuman consistency, breaking records left and right.

So, even if nobody catches up with them this season, how exactly has Liverpool been lucky, considering the past?

Arteta has to take the fecking shackles off if Arsenal want to push Liverpool. I hope for his sake Odegaard wasn't fit today cause that's a baffling decision. They struggled for creativity while he was injured and got a lot of shit for defensive football. Accumulated an xg of less than 1 today. Too good of a team to be churning this out.

Because they are a rival team and thus any wins are lucky. :p

I think he's 1 of the players that had been unwell. Certainly played like it when he came on anyway.

At least we can all stop stressing at results every year, accept it, and hope their out of contract guys go in the summer and THEN they get the proper Klopp out effect.
Or at least City/Arsenal step up.

We'll meanwhile be hoping to get back to the top half of the table.

Arsenal are well off the level of Liverpool.

Could be and explains a lot. You guys are so reliant on him for your attack to flow. Completely different team without him (which of course any team would be).

Yeah I've stopped caring already. They're going to win the league, now we just have to hope they don't win the Champions League.

There lucky with some decisions they get. But they’ve been the best in the league this season by a mile. Even if city didn’t have a downfall they’d need to of not lost more than once which is what Liverpool have done.

I’m nearly 49 years old and so remember the wenger years and challenges.
I’d rather satan himself won the PL before arsenal.
Liverpool winning is utterly horrendous but it’s the lesser of the two evils.

They’re 2nd 5 points behind Liverpool granted playing 2 extra games . With a postponed game tomorrow Liverpool will face a congested fixture list if they are still in 4 competitions. There 2 games in hand will be 2 derbies . How knows what could happen when these are played in a few months .

I'll be honest, this year I'm just bored of this kind of stuff, if Liverpool win it boo freaking hoo, we have ourselves to blame. Thank you Glazers but I'm not letting them make me support other teams
As opposed to the last 10 years where we’ve wanted anyone but Liverpool to win the league . Ok

No it’s actually really not .

At this rate, they’ll win the league with three games in hand which they can just forfeit and use the time to have multiple parades.

They’ll get a free hit tomorrow and we’re just going to have to accept that Liverpool will cruise it to title, it’ll probably be sown up by March. I only hope they don’t also win the Champions league, their gloating fans are just going to be unbearable.

Wonder if people still think Arsenal are the most exciting team in the league

We are so in the mud I've been tired just watching us, let alone bother with the title race. Is 10 years not a lot of worrying about rivals to a point where it ain't worth the stress no more, so who cares? Maybe its just that after 10 years ive realised theres more to life in terms of stress than to allow football to add to that, it ain't worth it.

For some reason I was a lot more upset when liverpool had won it during covid years being their first in the pl era. This year..eh I'd rather someone else but not bothered anymore
