Premier League GW11

Yeah I don't understand a lot of people's thinking here. Possibly if it was 3 points it may have been worth it, but for one point and losing a defender for the next games it's not worth it. Was always a chance ramsdale would make the save anyway. Or a goal from the free kick.
Sheffield United have 1 point from 11 games. 1 point is a lot for them. A lot.

Players deliberately cheat every single game, multiple times.

You might not like the word but it is what it is.
The dark arts will be on display in the upcoming match for sure

Sad state of affairs when football has become so sanitized that a professional foul is «cheating».

Disagree with both of you.

I wouldn't call it cheating if he made the foul, but I do think that it is a bit sad that he's getting crticism for not doing it. I wouldn't have crticised if he had either.

Not sure what you mean by 'become so santized'. Fair play is the old school attitude. One time players were disappointed in themselves if they did something that merited them being booked if you go back long enough. Used to be a gentleman's culture to all sports, a belief in fair play and being a 'good sport'. The age of cynicism is now.

Arsenal last in chances created...18th for shots on goal, unacceptable that.

Souness typecasting Ndombele as a workhorse midfielder. Basically got the analysis of him and Lo Celso completely the wrong way around.

Why not? If he made no attempt to play the ball and just took him down, how is that not cheating?

A foul is not necessarily cheating but just bringing someone down when there's no chance of getting the ball is as much cheating as a deliberate handball, claiming a goal kick when you know it came off you or diving.

I see a Kepa/Mendy situation at Sheffield United. Chelsea have surprised me by showing just how big a difference a proper keeper can make.

I think Wilder and co. will pay the price for the signing of Ramsdale. He looks shaky at the best of times and doesn’t make the key saves that Henderson was capable of at crucial points of games.

The more I watch them, the more I think that that signing/replacement is what will relegate them.

What did he say ?
Apologies for the double post. When asked why Ndombele was out, in a reproachful manner, he said the player decided not to play because he didn't feel right inspite of the protocol him and his team set up. He thought he was good to go but that the player ultimately opted out. There was a subtext to it.

I’m talking more about fans. I feel that it has become more «popular» to be as objective and correct as possible - that’s fine in real life but sports, for me, should be about tribalism and win at all cost.

Kudos to Chelsea and Tottenham fans applauding where others booed.

Ready for this game as I grew up in between both stadiums and always loved the drama between my guys

Quite annoying how Liverpool get so much money for championship quality players, if we had Solanki and Brewster probably would have got 5mil for them.
First we would gave them 60k on 5 years. And then after 3 years we would be:
"Whaaaat, how nobody wants them?"

Arsenal hopefully to find abit of form in front of goal today, but can't see it, Mourinho has Spurs rock solid at the back this season.

Just seen Partey starting, that's a big boost for Arsenal, perhaps not so much today but in coming weeks ahead.

Lo Celso is pretty good and think he'll work well against Arsenal's lightweight midfield so don't think Spurs will pay for having slightly less muscle in midfield today, not like Winks is starting.:D

Think Spurs will just low block Arsenal who'll create little and they'll pick them off on the counter. 2-0.

Rightly or wrongly, and I'm prepared to accept that I might be wrong, the words cheat/cheating make me think deception is involved.

You cheat on an exam and pretend you knew enough to answer the questions correctly, you cheat on a partner behind their back and pretend that you're in a committed relationship, you cheat by taking performance enhancing drugs and don't tell anyone, letting people assume you're not.

It's just the nature of the word really. You definitely cheat by diving to me.

When you flagrantly break the rules and are happy to accept the consequences of it, not even trying to hide what you're doing then I'd call it something else, that's all. I'm not exactly sure what that is but it wouldn't be cheating.

Why is everyone cheering for Arsenal? They have the most insufferable fanbase and we need them to be as low as possible so they have no chance of getting close to top 4.

That 4-4 draw is probably the most exhilarating match I never saw. I glimpsed like 20 seconds of it on the news and I have no interest in watching the game in full, I'll keep my fantasy.

Of course it's cheating. Putting «this» around it does not change that.
50% of fouls are deliberate. So it is all cheating then.? You want to say that when player is in clear chance defender should step away and say "Go for it, mate"

I totally agree. Love to see them lose here

Perfect example. He knew it was against the rules, knew he would get caught and punished but did it anyway.

Nothing against OIe, they're all cheating cnuts.
Gotta do what you gotta do. That's how you win.
