Premier League Gameweek 37

Back to supporting City again now after those years where he followed Arsenal and Celtic then

I know he's a City fan.

There are many famous fans that are never sighted when at games.

Anyway I'm just a cynic where everything City is involved.

Things going smooth and then the refs always have to make 1 feck up. That's offside, even if he didn't touch the ball which it looks like he did he's still clearly interfering.

Great shot of the whole City end doing that loathsome back to play jumping nonsense, with a solitary person not. That Gallagher bloke.

I’m actually content with this, honestly couldn’t bear arsenal winning it. They had the cheek to think tomorrow was the game they could win the title  plus arsenal getting to 14 is worse than city getting to 10

Only consolation not being in the title race at this stage is not having to be glued to the TV screen in the hope these cheats would drop points every weekend. Now Arsenal fans can have a dose of what we had to go through in the final weeks of 2019 and 2022.

Which kind of makes a mockery of the offside rule. He's not gaining an advantage by being in an offside position because some lad over the touchline who can't affect play is closer to the end line than him.
Very much agree. It all neds to be looked at and updated. The whole 'gaining an advantage' part of it now is so far from reality.

It really makes a mockery of football. Not sure why other clubs seem to be happy with nobody saying anything about it either. Unless the cease and desists have been issued to the 19 other teams that are being cheated by them because let’s face it, without the money they’d be scrapping down with forest and Luton.

Everything about this is a farce. The league has made a mockery of itself allowing this.

Title races that aren't title races as City canter with fully fit, illegally assembled squads.

There's no jeopardy and absolutely no edge, which is what the PL has always thrived upon until this sham gathered steam.

I just wait for the first goal and change the channel, it normally doesn't take much.

Interesting yeah, I didn't consider that.

Surely doesn't need to tough it though as he was 'active' though right? So as soon as he makes the attempt then it's classed as a touch.
He needs to touch it in order to make a new phase of play or whatever it's called. A player not touching the ball cannot place another player offside.

Once KDB came back from injury in winter they stabilized and started grinding down opponents mechanically. Meh

How disappointing is McCoist? Sound guy with good commentary but gags on City every single time, seemingly acknowledging them as a real entity.

This is beyond a joke at this point. Either Abu Dhabi are kicked out of the league, or this will be the norm going forward, with City winning just about every year with the odd exception.

Yeah something needs to happen with those 115

I think it’s the reason clubs haven’t publicly fought back against them yet

If they get away with it again, I think there will be backlash

True yeah sorry. Bit of a weird loophole in the rule that IMO
Sort of. But imagine if it was the other way around - Gvardiol was offside in when the initial pass came but wasn't offside when Akanji reached, but misses, the ball and that would have made him onside instead. That's even weirder IMO.

The true farmers league. One team winning most of everything every year. How exciting...

I don't see this changing significantly even if Guardiola leaves. In fact, with Klopp gone there's no one to challenge them. Arsenal will fall off next season, which will leave City free to just stack them.

I learnt to do the same over the years when we were in the race with them, or i would completely block out all news of their result on the day and wait for MOTD to be shocked if they lost at home to Leicester or Wolves but instead found they thrash them 5-1 or something.
