If you take into consideration
- We have about 6 first team out
- We're playing two ancient oil tankers at CB who have barely touched the ball this season
- Our form since Christmas puts us about 15th
- We just got smashed by Bournemouth
- Sheffield just smashed Chelsea 3 - 0
- Vardy only plays well when Nacho is playing, otherwise he's completely isolated and it's like playing with 10 men.
Leicester going to grind out a 1-0 win. Penalty from Vardy! This is my recent feeling. Nervous for this.
Nacho has been our best player since the restart. In terms of minutes per goal/assists, I think he's our top player. More importantly, the link up play between him, Perez and Vardy means we look far more potent in attack. But when he's not playing, the team doesn't click.
But Rodgers threw him under the bus, trying to justify him playing badly as the reason for throwing an extra midfielder on against Bournemouth (even though he got the assist in that first half....). So he's far too arrogant to start him now, to the detriment of the team.
