Premier League Gameweek 34 (which is not the same as gameweek 35)

Liverpool have a devastating attack and a happy foundation defence.

What a weird game this is.

Liverpool will probably come out better in the second half and it'll end 5-1 or something, but you never know.

How did we lose to these clowns just a few days ago?!
I know we didn't actually lose, but it feels that way

If Kane was playing for City this season instead of Spurs, all else being equal, he'd probably have 4 fewer goals than Haaland. The Spurs team aren't set up[ to maximize his skillset, except for having one or two quick-ish forwards (and Son seems to be fading in that regard) but he's not really part of problem. Suspect he'd do better if they actually had a proper no.10 for a start and he didn't have to keep dropping ridiculously deep as opposed to playing in the box or pulling off the kinds of quick short channel passes around the edge of the box that led to their equalizer against us.

Edit- and he's just scored on cue.
Yeah Rashford is basically an upgraded version of current Son at this stage and they have played together loads already for England.

If TAA continues to be AWOL on that right-back Tottenham will continue to create chances down that side with Son and Perisic.

We have obviously been awful but Liverpool playing so open actually gives us a bit of hope we can get more chances.

Liverpool will probably compete for the title with city next year while Arsenal drop off. Newcastle will drop their level too with added fixture congestion. Important for us to recruit smartly and be closer to the top 2 rather than battle for 4th. But Liverpool this season mainly dropped off due to hangover from last season IMO. Elite at home, struggled away. Just some refreshing in midfield and they'll be fine I'd bet.

They’ve done it again - 3 shots on target but they all went in

Am I the only one who thinks Skipp was a bit lucky not to be sent off? I’m sure I’ve seen red cards for those types of challenges.

Hope Kane has got the lads geared up for the second half. Fecking chances, goals, fecking kill them man, fecking qualify (for top 4).

I don't know. Look's like Klopp's figured out that Nunez is a dud. That alone makes them a dangerous team going forward. Maybe his price tag forces Klopp to give him a shot next season and destroys their season again.

They’re stuck with him and they can’t afford to pay out another £100m for a replacement. He’s swallowed a lot of money so they either build the team around him or accept that massive loss. At this stage I think if they want to sell a forward it has to be Salah, unless someone is mental enough to buy Nunez

I don’t rate their attack or central defence anywhere near as much as a couple of years ago.
