Premier League Gameweek 34-35

The players were tired. A lost is a lost.
Your players were tired? City should feel harshly done by that, they had 4 days to recover after the 1st leg of the CL, you had 5 days before the Villa game. They’ve also had the 2nd leg and then the FA cup 3 days later.

Are Man City better without halland

Its arguable but whats not arguable is today is not a day to judge that on. Brighton playing man for man and tiki taka in their own box is ridiculous. If Haaland was playing today it'd probably be 5-0 by now given Brighton would be playing 1 man vs him at the back.

Of all the shit celebrations footballers have come up with recently to try create some sort of trademark - Palmers body warming, Maddisons dart thing and so on - Fodens is comfortably the worst. It just looks so forced and awkward. What's he even doing

Have you seen citys squad? You know arsenal regularly start city cast offs? Every title city have won has been down to their ridiculous squad maintaining a high level while normal teams struggle. Its all a direct consequence of their cheating and once again, its absolutely mental that its still going on without a resolution.

If City win the league it is because they are a better team through out the whole season. Their squad depth is on another level.

I never said it was about this one game, I just don't think he's good enough for United.
Ye it would be another ETH. His style of play is to open and we’d leak goals for fun. When it works though is it a joy to watch.

Its Ibrahimovic all over again. I doubt that Pep even wanted Halland.
It’s certainly an argument to be had. But as soon as he scores another goal, everyone starts going “problem? Does it look like he’s the problem??” Whilst completely missing the point. A bit like Ronaldo after he came back.

6 titles in 7 years is disgusting really.

I guess thats how everyone else felt when we won 5 in 7 in two different times with Fergy but still…
Did it not feel a bit more like we’d earned the success though?

City have bought the success, they’ve done it in an impressive way though. The people at the top have made good decisions and built an excellent structure. All a bit depressing.

Of course. I think you’ve been a lot better than last year though and deserve to win it this year. If you don’t win it this year then I don’t think you will as you won’t get a better chance to. Hopefully your London rival does you a favour.

How about some real competition. How does it compare to Daniel Sturridge or Peter Crouch?

I don’t think many managers adapt. Even with injured players they still try and play there way. Guardiola does it, the difference is though with injury’s your style of play won’t look as good. Look at how city was without Rodri, they didn’t play as good and I think they lose a couple.

It kind of depends. In Guardiola's case, he won the league at a canter with KDB sidelined and he gets by just fine without Haaland. This team loses without Rodri though, true.

Even Ten Hag adapted last season, going to a double pivot and letting his keeper play hot potato. Managers do adapt all the time - what we 'need' is one who can adapt to never having a left back, a new defence every week, a number of midfielders in sharp decline, and a forward line that is both light on depth and streaky at best.

Shouldn't be too hard to find.

Not sure about that, but nice to see progress in the game play for sure. City is a very very strong team and they have been dominating EPL for many years already.

He is club signing IMHO. They need to be big bollocks and all that.

I like your style of play aswell and actually think you play better football than city. I find them boring to watch. Anyways good luck for the remainder of the season. Except for when you play us of course ;)

Can’t believe they can’t check VAR for mistaken free kicks. But you can for mistaken identity. If someone scores a FK that shouldn’t have been given then VAR should look at the foul and chalk the goal of

That and the fact that if the ref has given no card and they review and incident for a possible red, it's a red or nothing. They can't give a yellow if it was a yellow card offence. They've already reviewed it so it's not saving any time.

That’s one of those that gets chalked off, but only if the keeper stays down holding his face. Like the high boot rule.

City get away with everything.
Foden’s freekick which wasn’t even a foul, Brighton denied a penalty, and now Walker allowed to tackle into the keeper’s hands to score

Yup. The corruption is so blatant. I wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out that they’ve been paying referees like Barcelona.

Brighton losing by 4 and this is what I expected tonight.
Expecting pep to tull on praise dezerbi and brightons style of play post game now

Brighton have gifted us two of the goals with comedy defending.
