Apart from when he doesn't make those saves...
Ramsdale looking purely statistically has better shot stopping metrics than de Gea this season. De Gea makes great saves but has his fair share of absolute shockers this season which drag his overall down, as it should.
 
Ederson’s distribution for that goal was top notch. We need someone like him between the posts.

If arsenal lose this, they would have got 3 points from the last 12, having had two goal leads in two of them, and almost losing at home to the bottom team.

But who would you take when one of the supposed goalies this season is apparently not it?

Costa had a howler at the world cup, Sanchez was everyone's favourite before their manager benched him and Raya didn't impress me much at OT. I guess Maignan is in fashion now but for how long and would he do it in the PL?

I am sure our play will improve with a better ball-player but would that goalie really be as good as Dave. It wouldn't make much of a difference or at least nowhere near as much as a top class CB and Casemiro competition/back-up (I won't even mention having a fit striker).
 
Benzema and Vini Jr are the last line of defence against these treble shouts

No keeper can make a save on every shot, but at this level a keeper is expected to make that save. De Gea makes that save. 2-3 seasons ago Dave was dropping turds, no question about it, but he's making the saves he's expected to make and he's making saves you'd never expect Ramsdale and Raya to make.
 
It's insane how good this City team is. We've been comfortably better than every other team in the league yet they're making this look so comfortable.

You say they've had howlers but so's Dave, multiple in fact, every season. Being a GK and being asked to play out from the back means you'll probably get caught out once or twice a season. As long as they're a good shot stopper, can use their feet and can command their area, they'll do for me.

Ramsdale is shite at most things but decent with his feet, that's it.
 
Also I know he's only had roles with incredibly favourable conditions, but surely Pep will go down as the greatest manager ever? Ridiculous CV
