Premier League Gameweek 30-32

I don't understand how everyone thinks it is the right decision to start play when a player is injured? Surely that is not lawful or fair play. If it was an advantage allowed without stoppage of play then that is lawful

Would be very keen to prioritise getting Paqueta in this summer. Think a midfield of him, Kobbie and Casemiro would work well or being Bruno in for Casemiro for easier hole matches.
The caf posters who fume over how easily Bruno goes down would spontaneously combust if Paqueta was a United player. Some of his playacting in the first 30 minutes was embarrassing.

The rule though is that when you stop a play then any player on the floor play acting or not must be addressed.
The foul stopped play technically and he did look over at the player rubbing his face-probably thought he was playacting and playe d on! Good ref and he applied the rule

He wasn't injured, a hand brushed against his face. Good on the ref to allow play to continue.

Naah, the referee had already stopped playing for the foul on Kudus. So if a player is down, he needs treatment before restarting play.
Ref decided he's faking it (rightfully) so he allowed play to continue. He deserves a medal.

He dived, there was no contact, referee rightly allowed play to go on. I'd be absolutely ashamed if that was a United player play-acting and giving up a goal.
Noo, the referee had stopped the play.

He wasn’t injured. It was simulation.

Terrible decision for the Burn foul (clearly just took Kudus out as he was accelerating away from him) but then good refereeing to let West Ham take the quick free kick. West Ham playing some really nice stuff and deservedly ahead.

Do we really want another player who is clearly shady? Look up the betting stories.

Newcastle having a poor season it seems (or am I being unfair to them given injuries etc?). Don't think Howe will survive so won't be surprised if we see Tuchel at Newcastle in few months (if he is to leave Bayern).

Does anyone understand what that celebration of seemingly confronting the terrified looking ball boy was about?!

My worry is they sack Howe and find an actual competent manager.

That is stupid, it is not in the referees place to decide if a player is injured or not once he has decided to stop play.
People are allowing the their hatred for Newcastle cloud the rules of the game.

They over-performed last season. This season is more in keeping with the level of their squad, especially with a few injuries.

But the referee stopped the play, that was the problem.
To award a free kick to West Ham. Not the same as stopping the game for the player to get treatment.

It was clear as day what Schar was up to, and it was satisfying to watch West Ham exploit that.

Their three behind the striker are quality tbh. Probably better than ours. Looking forward to the bayern Leverkusen match.
Wouldn't go as far to say better than ours

Don't you stop for a head injury? If the ref is convinced there's not an injury, surely they're not obligated?
Stopping for head injury is when the game is still in play. Surely I am not alone in this? My opinion is when you stop play and a player just decides to sit on the floor without even a touch then you have to address that.

Again, what rule?

I'm just glad cheating's been punished for once, and the universe will agree with me.

Its a problem the ref gave a freekick to West Ham and allowed them to take it?
It is a problem if a player is on the floor after you have stopped play. That is my opinion though.

It was definitely the wrong decision but sweet sweet karma for flopping about like that.

Nothing to do with Newcastle (other than they have a bunch of dirty players who dish it out but can't take it)

Calm down, serves the cheating feckers right.

The tedious commentators on Astro couldn't be more pro-Newcastle if they tried.

or Mourinho.
That would be fun as always

Are there many on the market atm? I can imagine them going for Tuchel if he is available by summer.

You may be right because of injuries but I'd still expect them to at least be where we are right now. So not top 4 but bit higher on the table.
