Premier League Gameweek 30+31

You don't like Gundogan but it's laughable how you're trying to blame him some how for the 1st half in which city totally controlled the game and Chelsea scored from a Mendy error...

Really, who was involved in the mess with Mendy leading to the goal? Mendy behaved like a clown but Gundogan again slowly jogged back with zero effort to help after their mixup.

The only silver lining of Chelsea winning is Liverpool win whilst all their players are stuck at home by themselves.

City wasn't going to be steam rolling every team, but with Aguero going down, that really hindered him going into today's game against Chelsea. As said, Chelsea have the setup to hurt City, which they have already and credit to them for setting up to give them a chance as the blue print has been laid previously.

If Chelsea continue to get results and play well, then credit to them. Hopefully United just focus on themselves and get as many full results as possible. You can only really control what is in front of you at this point in time and hoping for results from other matches is so crap and cannot rely on that during this period of the season.

If 45 minutes could show up everything wrong with us this season that was it. Mendy being Mendy. Gundogan and Rodri being as useful at protecting the back 4 as two cardboard cutouts of Fernandinho but with half the spine. Getting exactly what we deserve. Chelsea cutting us apart every time they go forward. Yet again our CB's will get the blame for the statue and the coward in midfield.

Whos the statue and Who's the coward?

All of City's midfielders last season looked like they could produce something special but this season, other than KDB, they just look flat and uninspiring.

Chelsea are very underrated on here. Was never going to be the walkover for City many expected.
That and City are overrated mate.
They need a rebuild job. The defense is crap and I am not impressed by their midfield either appart from Debruyne. They need a new striker as well.
Pep's buys have been bad as well. I can't remember a good buy from him even from barca appart maybe from Bernardo and Sané and the latter wants to feck off...At barca he replaced Eto by Ibra and bought that dude in defense from Shaktar who lasted one odd year. Pep is not a man for a rebuild...

Yeah you guys are in serious need of a DM capable of screening the back four losing Fernandinho in that position has been crippling.

Take your pick. for me Rodri is the statue and Gundo the coward without the ball. They'll pass the ball around in little 10 yard passes and people will say we controlled the midfield but every time someone runs at us, they fold. Time and again.

I can't tell if you're serious here or just really looking for a reason to blame Gundogan but he's completely faultless regarding Chelsea's goal.
And your initial post also made it seem like Chelsea have been going through Gundogan and Rodri which is just false.

To be fair, would any be celebrating? Maybe a quick clap or a small punch in the air. Those Liverpool fans were going wild.

The points gap between Liverpool and City is 23 points ? This is really ridiculous.

What game are you watching? City have been completely porous in midfield when Chelsea counter (hasn't happened often but it's noticeable)

How is he faultless? Mendy tapped the ball by him and while Mendy did a stupid tackle to get it back, Gundo stood their shirking his duty as usual. I also don't hate him, he's quite a good footballer and when he's good he's very good but he pulls out of almost everything where possible.

I wonder if the Pogba detractors will see this.

KDB has had a fantastic season too, but even he sometimes has a poor game.

Yep. I think it's a similar thing with Martial also, for some reason our fans think what he did yesterday should be standard but no striker in the league has that kind of influence every game.

Liverpool aspect of this is meaningless, they were going to be champions in the next week or so anyway, but we really need City to take points off Chelsea here to have any hope of overtaking them I reckon. Even being within three with a better goal difference puts pressure on them.

The City system isn't working at all. Pep needs to make changes. Too many chefs, not enough patrons at this restaurant.

That was Mendy's fault fully. Gundogan is instructing him and he ignores it.

Pep needing to give Liverpool a guard of honour at the Etihad next week should be enough motivation to go all out here.

Why is Jesus not playing? Injured? Or Pep reverting back to his managerial genius tactics?
