Premier League Gameweek 29

Not sure the ref being inconsistent with other games and refs while softening the rules of the game here is a good thing there Peter

How the feck is anyone saying this referee has control of the game? Then Walton the Wanker agreeing with him? Jesus

The ref will red card himself before booking a player in this game

I don't get why they raise the offside flag really late sometimes but straight away othertimes.

Is there a reason?
Yeah was going to ask this. Both Salah and kdb were obvious ones. Maybe they only do it if the player is going backwards whereas on attack of goal they keep it down ?

Gakpo is entirely useless in this Liverpool side. Sell him to Feyenoord.

I mean a lot of moaning going on but would you rather see shiteloads of cards handed out leading to more and more reds?

None of the fouls thus far have been in any way hard; I actually like that the ref is being lenient even if I'd probably given one or two more yellows.

I'd much rather this than some of the ridiculous nonsense you see players get carded for in other matches. Soft red cards absolutely ruin matches.

Naaa 'Fletch', I don't think it is a high quality game, is it? Awful passing, players constantly offside through their own laziness, petty fouls etc

These two sides continuously get away with cynical fouls that break up play.

Disagree.
A yellow is a yellow and a red a red

He put his arms on his shoulders and pulled him back

So every time a player does that it's a yellow? It happens a lot in games. 2nd counter city also had a lot of players back so they had the numbers nullify the attack. With the actual yellow they were vulnerable hence the punishment. The referee would most likely be taking that into account.

I mean this has been a really good match, though. It's been really fast-paced.

I'd agree if there were a ridiculous number of those cynical challenges but there really hasn't been.

If there was consistency that would be all well and good. Doing it for just one game however is not doing anybody any favours

Tbf to Pool, that cnut Rodri should be off

I also don’t get the moaning. It’s annoying when Liverpool players get let off several fouls etc, but as long as the rules are applied to both teams it makes for a better game

Well done. You now know what will happen.

The Caf never learns...
Unless he makes a quick transfer to Roma and knocks us out of the EL I dont care. I would love for him to score today. Liverpool and City can both suck my balls. I like Gakpo.

De Bruyne used to be so dangerous outside the box. He rarely shoots now.

Liverpool clearly lacking the confidence they once had. Quite certain they'd lose this. van Dijk looking rather ponderous when in possession too.

Yes it should be a yellow every time. Stopping a counter with a deliberate pull is and should be a yellow.

We actually don't do it often enough as a team. They are great fouls.

City really should be winning against a midfield of Fabinho, Elliot and Horrenderson.

Peps celebration was a touch out of order getting in the players face there.

Was pep celebrating at the Liverpool subs and shook one of their hands?

For the former, I think to give time for a goal in case VAR then confirms it and denies the offside call. The latter is probably when it's an easy blatant offside.

There was 3 from Fabinho within 10 mins and Rodri had 2 in the space of 5 mins
