Even with the lead, City just seem to lack any control of games this season. Just so much space for teams to play through the middle, it feels.
I think too but and draw in that game will likely suit Liverpool also.Liverpool will beat city.
It's Anfield. Even the very best City teams have been absolutely useless at Anfield. This version of City, which has struggled in every single big game, is getting absolutely nothing there.I think too but and draw in that game will likely suit Liverpool also.
I think in your current form you could go to the Etihad and get something. It's a game that would suit ETH's style of play imo. It's Anfield. Oh, definitely. I'd be quite disappointed if United didn't get something vs this current version of City.I think in your current form you could go to the Etihad and get something. It's a game that would suit ETH's style of play imo.
If they put in another 20% effort in attack, they could get something out of this even now.Brentford look delighted to accept the 1-0 defeat.
You might think that and then sense sets in when see one match up is Haaland v MaguireI think in your current form you could go to the Etihad and get something. It's a game that would suit ETH's style of play imo.
I'm not sure if United counts as a big game anymore for City, but Haaland and City kind of haven't been turning up in them this season and our form has picked up, atleast results wise, so can definitely see a draw there. You might think that and then sense sets in when see one match up is Haaland v Maguire
But at the other end Hojlund is in red hot form. He's aiming for that Vardy record. You might think that and then sense sets in when see one match up is Haaland v Maguire
Haven't City thrown away leads in plenty of games, and late on, this season?Ah if we could control a match like that after taking the lead.
Maguire has won 3 Manchester derbies at the Etihad. Granted, Haaland didn't play in any of them. However, presuming we play a low block over there (I think Ten Hag has learned his lesson from the 6-3), then it might be exactly the sort of game that suits him.You might think that and then sense sets in when see one match up is Haaland v Maguire

Agreed. We've got to hope that Casemiro suddenly gets up to speed in the next 10 days otherwise we'll struggle to contain them. It's the worst game to start serial hider Mctominay, as we saw in the reverse fixture at OT where he barely had any touches.Midfield will be your problem especially with Foden in great form. Mainoo done very well since his breakthrough but he can't cover everywhere and City will play on Casemiro struggling to get up to speed or McTominay out there.
Be interested in how many United fans actually want a result against City, hell of a dilemma!Oh, definitely. I'd be quite disappointed if United didn't get something vs this current version of City.

This isn't like the 2019 fixture vs City where there were only a couple of games left, and we knew if we got a result then we'd almost certainly hand Liverpool the title. Some United fans going into that game were understandly conflicted.Be interested in how many United fans actually want a result against City, hell of a dilemma!
But it’s city. There immune to criticism. You can only criticise a team that’s called Manchester United.city have been absolutely awful. If we turned in this performance the forum would be seething. Like watching paint dry
We need a result there ourselves to keep up with top 4. Also we have a chance to do city a favour by beating the scousers when they come to us.Be interested in how many United fans actually want a result against City, hell of a dilemma!
For me it's quite simple - I don't want Liverpool equalling our 20 PL titles, especially now that Klopp is leaving, they won't get anywhere near winning the league after this season. If that means one more title for City then so be it.Swear how is Man City winning a title any better than Liverpool winning it hurts me just as much watching them win it if arsenal dont win the league id rather see liverpool win it than those cheating plastic fecks its nauseating watching them win trophy after trophy i rather concentrate on what we do anyway and beating Man City is what we need to do.
Exactly this! As it stands, we have more league titles and more FA Cups. Liverpool have more CLs and more League Cups. If they equal our title's record, they do have the more legitimate claim to being the most successful English club. Any other scenario is less horrifying. For me it's quite simple - I don't want Liverpool equalling our 20 PL titles, especially now that Klopp is leaving, they won't get anywhere near winning the league after this season. I still want us to beat City at the Etihad though. If we somehow pull that off then I'd be confident we can beat Liverpool in April as well.
At the same time, City winning four in a row is also horrifying. It breaks one of our records and they could get back to back trebles.Exactly this! I don’t think any record comes even close to the significance and value of the overall history of success in major trophies won. The fact that we won more titles in the history of the English game is our proudest achievement in my view especially considering our underwhelming European Cup record. At the same time, City winning four in a row is also horrifying. Unfortunately, their success means that they will get more fans and be able to be self-sustainable even if the sheikh leaves.I get it but disagree. Man City are just kind of fake and play quite elegant football. I have a 'whatever' type reaction to them winning. I have a visceral level of disgust towards pool that is amplified by running into smug 'pool fans all my life. I have never met a City fan apart from the occasional 6 year old
This. Feck City.
