Premier League Gameweek 23

Howard Webb needs to go back to wherever he came from. He has rendered VAR even more pointless

People say refs have agendas and stuff. They don't, to have an agenda you have to be competent. We just have a bunch of inept people as referees and it's astounding given the amount of money this league makes. You would think some small portion could go towards officials
They're idiotic. The VAR check and the no pen were atrocious decisions

This is the worst ref in the prem. I remembered he was the one we had at OT against Newcastle.

chelsea beginning to look like us last year... which would be funny if it continues

why do you need to be competent to have an agenda?

Todd Boehly saving the Osimhen money to go in hard on the refs I think

Why is the atmosphere so shite?!

West Ham down on their luck and the repurposed bowl stadium hasn't gone well for the fans. Of course they can be loud if playing us but in general the fans don't like the stadium.

It didn't exactly take any top scouting to realise Enzo was decent. All top clubs wanted him, Chelsea were the only one prepared to pay that crazy fee though. Still think it was a major mistake from Enzo's perspective. He's too young to just be following the money. He would have had better options if he waited til the summer.

I would've loved him at united but you can't really blame him for securing guarenteed huge wages for years. Financially it makes alot of sense.

Career wise not so much.

West Ham played well enough for a draw after the initial minutes of domination from Chelsea. So many tough games in the PL now

Bunch of multimillionaires who could barely give two shits depart the pitch high fiving each other. They will sleep like

A great case for decisions evening themselves out. We got a big call for us in the reverse game. That handball is every bit as egregious a decision as the Bowen ‘foul’.
Yeah that Bowen decision was a disgrace too. Does seem to underline that referees are just unbelievably inept, rather than corrupt.

So you can actually implement a consistent plan.
If say the refs were all told to favour top four clubs , then you need to be competent enough to carry that out.

I just think the refs are just really bad and the use of var in this country has gotten worse. And to top it off, the arrogance of officials here thinking they can do it differently to other places

Yeah if these players aren't prepared to wait it out then they probably aren't right for us

Thought it was a pretty boring and technically poor game.

Pawson is useless. His decision making is baffling at times.

That being said, VAR officials need to help him there. It wasn't clear for him to see it. Mental that they spend ages looking to disallow a goal but take a few seconds to deny a penalty.

That was an handball. West Ham got away with that.

You literally said it's not a handball, and then said "surely" it bounced off and on to he's hand.
Anyway...
Point is that was a pen. Hands down. Pun intended. :wenger:
Decent save though.
