Premier League Gameweek 22

Of all the players to score the winner, it was one that served as a player under Dyce at Burnley

I always think that shows that the players gave less of a feck under the previous boss. Seen it many times at Chelsea and it kinda stinks.

Even if Lampard (or whoever) was garbage, players should still be trying.
Definitely agree with you, seen it at United too.

I think it must get to a point that the players are not motivated enough to sprint that extra yard or bust that gut just a bit more. Not sure if it’s they start to question the managers tactics or get fed up of fighting for nothing or a combination of both

Arteta must have never seen Jorginho play.

No way should he have been put on in a game like that.Losing 1-0 against a team pressing intensively. He was never going to contribute and had a really poor cameo.

New manager bounce, Arteta has a crap record at Everton and against Dyche (I think Wenger had a v good record at Goodison by contrast? Which makes it all the more hilarious). Perfect mix.

Saying that I fully expect City will reel them in but they have to go to Goodison too. Everton should've got rid of Lampard months ago.

Not a bad shout; i'm not sure it's right to exclude the change in dynamic following Arsenals integration of the new signings. The goal was scored on 60 minutes just a minute after they were introduced.

Should someone start a new congratulations man city thread?

We are basically at the halfway point and arsenal are about to bottle it arent they with city probably going on another 15 game winning streak

Agent Jorgi.

Winning the Champs League with us made him a Chelsea legend but if he can somehow cost Arsenal the league, it's a nice little cherry on top.

I'm not sure whether I enjoy watching United win more than seeing Arsenal lose. Such is my contempt for that club. It really is a tough one. Well done Everton. At least I can enjoy my weekend now that those disgusting fans will stay in their box.

12 million for Jorginho. Say it again, Chelsea played Arsenal there.

None of the subs really cut it today. But then again I struggle to find a good performance period. This was like the Newcastle game except Everton had a bit more intent. Not enough quality...onto the next one. Brentford might not be any easier.

The English ole, he brought good vibes to Chelsea for one season and has been found out as clueless ever since, maybe he can do what gerrard did and go up to Scotland to help give off the illusion that he is a good manager

Did Lampard finish second and get to a European final then champ? No? Sure you keep going on with the tired cliches theres a good lad.

Didn't catch the second half but if it was anything like the first, Arsenal were very lucky to get away without a real battering.

Nice to see Arsenal lose, but I think City will draw with Spurs tomorrow. Not sure this is the start of Arsenal bottling in as some people are. In previous seasons I'd have not doubted City would real Arsenal in and overtake them, but something seems lacking in this City team. The fear factor isn't there right now and the players don't seem as fired up as in past seasons.

Saw a stat on football focus that Man. City lost all four games at new Spurs ground and not even scored a goal.

Not gonna take away the fact that this gunners' team is currently topping the league table. They were really fortunate to get the points againt United the last time out. I wonder if that would have been the case if not for the impromptu midweek game at palace's.

arsenal got outworked by everton and looked completely void of ideas going forward.....won't damper them though going for the title

It was tough for Arsenal to come back to their groove after their cup final.

Don’t care who wins the PL….I just want us to make top 4.

we are equal on points with Newcastle, Spurs and Pool can still get in top 4.

The one good thing is that we have played Arsenal and City twice already and so will Spurs by end of this week.

Want them to lose to City and us winning today and so the gap becomes 6 points ahead with a game in hand.

Pool still have to play both Arsenal and City one more time.
