Premier League Gameweek 2

Timmy Chestnuts is a RB, but can also play at LB.

When Ricardo is fit again, I think he'll get moved to left-back, and Justin will go to the bench.

He seems better than Chilwell so far :D
Ah right, yeah. I thought he was signed to replace Chilwell and he is. Just is comfortable either side. Justin is a RB though? Why not play Chestnuts LB and Justin RB?

I'm sure I remember LVG turning-down VVD as well. And of course Sir Alex with Henderson was in his book.
I think VVD was in the context of the Dutch national team, for and before the Brasil world cup.

I cant wait for Castagne on one wing and Ricardo on the other.

He has been bloody brilliant so far! If he keeps this up he could be our player of the season.

I would disagree that that's a bad thing. There are plenty of ways to play football, there's no such thing as the "right" way... Even if it is more entertaining.

Not saying I'd want United to play that way... But what's more important to Burnley? Staying in the league on a tiny budget or playing nice football?
There's an obligation towards the League and the standard of play. They're not tiny clubs anymore when they reach that level. We've been brainwashed. They make more money than 95% of all European clubs and we're fed this idea that they have a tiny budget, they're some sort of blue-collar, everyman's club and that the style of play which is basically kick and hope, not even kick and rush is somewhat good at this level.

Burnley is not an institution.

Quite enjoying this match. Burnley have played well to be fair for all the stick they get.

“Leicester are top of the league. Better wash my pants”

If you had no idea of the origin of that joke, you’d think Gary Lineker just jizzed himself.

I think VVD was in the context of the Dutch national team, for and before the Brasil world cup.
OK that makes sense, I had a memory of that but couldn’t remember the details as clearly as I usually do with United-related cock-ups

Leicester starting well with 2 wins. But they'll inevitably decline somewhere during the season.

Early days but he does look pretty nifty... For the less then £20m too.

If only we had scouts aye.
Ours seem to have a good eye too. I mean to pick out Jason Sancho for our right wing position and him alone was top class scout work. Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka for £130m last season was also great value. No way we would have found two players as accomplished and talented as them for that limited budget we had.

Just saw the Chelsea pen. Alisson jumped further forward than De Gea did but kept one foot on the line. Shit rule :wenger:

A luxury player maybe? Someone who has flashes of brilliance but can be a passenger.
Kinda. Obviously players are good/great at this level but suddenly people chat someone up, someone else chats them up and the hype train is real. Obviously a talented player but have a feeling teams will be caught out buying players they think will be massive difference makers when in fact they're just good players.
