Premier League Gameweek 2

Excellent piece of defensive work from Kante in Liverpool's box.

Werner just had to open it up on his left then and smash it

Poor decision-making

I don't really get why Kante is playing where he is playing these days. He seems to be playing further forward than he did for Leicester, which arguably plays to his biggest weaknesses. He's better without the ball and in the middle, breaking up the opposition's attacks. Just seems odd from my view.

I'll be surprised if Lampard is still here in a year or two's time. Chelsea look like they're upgrading on everything these days, so it's only a matter of time before Lampard is the next thing that they upgrade on.

Mane is so damn good. Honestly if Liverpool had to go without him they’d drop off massively

Werner has quickly grown into PL. Quick learner this lad. Havertz still struggling it looks.

Intensity/tempo, cohesion, movement and organised pressing. Things essential in a top team and sorely missing at Man United. All on display in the Chelsea-Liverpool match.

Nice tug from TAA to feck up that counter for Chelsea, obviously no yellow given.

Lampard's instructions: when you reach closer to their box, turn around and find a player behind you and we shall conquer.

It's often overlooked but communication is really key. You can hear how much more Liverpool's players communicate than ours. You hear VVD and Henderson instructing other players about more.

Werner is so good against high lines, Liverpool need to be a lot more careful
He needs to be little more ambitious. pool's defense is there for taking. Need Giroud here with Werner. Lampard is too defensive.

It’s offside, but Werner’s effort

Horrible defending.

VAR might change this to a red.
