Premier League Gameweek 2

Potter has Brighton playing really well this season so far. Should have taken at least a point against Chelsea, also.

That Lamptey looks a quality player. Certainly, one to watch out for.

Reckless, but clearly accidental- silly to do in their position.

Will he get a 3 match ban? I can understand why it's been upgraded to a red, even though it's entirely accidental, but more than a 1 match ban would be harsh.

I wonder how often the referees will look at the screen and stick to their original decision. Being told / made to look at the screen probably influences decisions. I mean I think that is a red, but I’m not sure this looking at the screen is going to make a massive difference.

What would really help is for the on field referee to be able to ask for help when they aren’t sure, instead of having to make a decision and then have it changed.

We're in trouble against Brighton

Clear and obvious error by the ref with a yellow instead of a red though? Thought VAR was for clear and obvious, distinction between yellow and red is dubious to me for that. Objective or subjective decisions for VAR at this point?

That’s about as obvious as it comes.

I think doing a no look back kick 6 feet into the air and smashing someone’s face in is probably a safe bet for reckless and dangerous and so a red card.

Today's game between Liverpool and Chelsea will see £729.1m on the pitch. Liverpool's starting XI= £381m Chelsea's starting XI= £348.1

Honestly that tackle by Bissouma was like something out of a comedy sketch
