Premier League - Gameweek 17

Has he ever been in this sort of position before? Not sure he knows how to put it right.

Has anyone? Literally early in this season they looked unstoppable, and now they’ve completely collapsed. It doesn’t make sense how bad they are.

Funniest thing I’ve ever seen

When was the last time we finished ahead of that lot? Don't remember it in the post-Ferguson period?

Never agreed with Rodri's Balon d'Or - now I genuinely do.

Problem with City isn't fully that Rodri is out, it's that they have no decent replacement. The rest of their midfielders are 8's rather than defensive midfielders.

How long until this capitulation is unprecedented?

I remember 2020-21 Pool were called the worst defending champions given how bad they played after winning the title. City are definitely below that right now.

Grealish and Silva must be a dream for defenders to play against. So slow in everything they do. Age has caught up with Silva, badly. Grealish is just shit.

Why the feck isn’t grealish taking him on? He’s fantastic 1 vs 1, cash is one foul away from a yellow……yet he gets him faced up and just passes it backwards

Think the city players have lost belief which is more than the injuries

Don't count your chickens. That's a lot of this game left still. They've had all the possession. Although they haven't done anything with it.

Grealish used to be devastating. He’s a rare example of Pep’s coaching actually making a player worse rather than better

The thing they need to realise is that if you pass it to one part of the pitch and there's no way through, then the important thing is to pass it over to the other side of the pitch. And if that doesn't work, you have to pass it back to the other side of the pitch. And if if that doesn't work, then pass it to the other side of the pitch.

Persistence pays off, lads.

Was just thinking the same think. Just give it a go. Currently Cash has to do nothing more than cover the byline and Grealish passes it backwards/sideways 10 times out of 10 so far.

Took him on just now and sailed past him…..you wonder sometimes what goes through players heads

The free pass Grealish gets simply because he was England’s golden boy, once upon a time, is utterly laughable.

Such poor value for money although not all of that blame can be levelled at Grealish himself. Pep’s coaching deserves a mention - he’s knocked all the flair and excitement out of Grealish.

Not really, he played well for a smaller team playing for him, but even then he didn't do that much. He was hardly terrorising teams, better as a medium fish in a small pond.

How shit does Haaland look?

Exposed once again. I can’t believe people were talking about him in the same breath as Shearer, Kane etc.

Most overrated player in world football.
