Premier League - Gameweek 17

Trent hits 300 long balls and when one finally lands the commentators drool over it.
Exactly this. He just whacks 100s and 100s of crosses in all game and occasionally one will come off. It has to by sheer percentages.

In a really bad season for us it’s going to end even worse when they match our titles.

TAA is one of the most skilful players in the world.

feck it is annoying.

I must admit Im jealous at Liverpool’s football.

They play simple but very effective.
Switch play, cross the ball, win second balls, press like madmans.

No intricate patterns of play, no obsession with control or possession. They simply play as a cohesive unit, and all their players run their socks off.

We’re very far from that level of dedication from the players

In the past few years City have won 4 in a row and equalled the treble.

Liverpool by the way are still on for a Quaddie and will match our titles.

All our stroke in the League is long gone.

exactly. The fact that we’ve declined while our biggest rivals have matched and bettered our achievements is incredibly upsetting.

Liverpool are murdering this lot. It's a joke the job Slot has done with that team. I'm only hoping that they hit a slump in form at some stage but it doesn't look like happening. And even then, a slump in form for them would be like W3 D2 L1 in 6 or something.

Nobody cares about city though. They could have won 5 in a row for all we care.

Liverpool are about to slap five past this lot.

Not sure what the shock is with that Spurs backline. Have they not got any decent young CBs or have they all been loaned out?

They can also put out all the attackers they want but in games like this you badly need central midfield control and they are lacking that, Liverpool cruising it and will likely score four or five here.

The people clutching the "they haven't played anyone away yet" are diminishing. Arsenal, United and now Tottenham navigated. City, Chelsea, Villa at home too.

Everyone celebrating Klopp leaving, bloody hell

Forster looks like a CB who got asked to play in goal. Absolutely useless.

I care about them breaking our records. They’re our city rivals. I want them to win as little as possible
True… but they did it all whilst under 115 charges. Roses are red, violets are blue without the corruption they’d be in league 2.

Need an Ange sack thread after this (if there isn’t one already). Cheer us all up

I think home/away is now a moot point.

As City have shown it's not where games are played that matter but form. Liverpool are something like 20+ unbeaten in all competitions, going to be four clear of Chelsea with game-in-hand.

Liverpool cross the ball from way outside. There's always at least 3 if not 4 players making a run. Spurs having to defend man to man.

Our wide players are perma stuck out wide and as for our midfielders we sometimes get a midfielder making a run into the box, usually Casemiro or McTominay when he was still here.

The big difference in grit and determination to score is so noticeable. Szoboszlai, MacAllister and Gravenberch isn't some relevation of a midfield. It's a trio that you never see jogging about though.
