Premier League - Gameweek 12

We're looking pretty shaky, I think this is actually Liverpool's years.
You're still very much in the title race. Read somewhere that Liverpool have a tough run in. So you'll need to stay in touch till then.

Hopefully the vultures are out for Guardiola. End of an era indeed after Ten Hag left.
When one bald leaves, the other balds lose some collective power.
Don't get why Guardiola doesn't have a back-up in the squad for Rodri. He's got CMs masquerading as holding midfielders with poor defensive instinct who let attacking midfielders fill their boots.
Gonna be a biggggg spend come the winter window. The question is, who?

Pep with worse run of form than Ten Hag but the media wont say a thing.
Pre match the interviewer was like, well you’ve been here before and still won the treble, the league etc. there was as if they lost one match in the 90th minute. There was no scrutiny

1 win? It's the away game they usually lose.

They got a 3-3 there last season with Ben Davies and someone else makeshift in at CB.

21/22 they won 2-3 even after conceding in 94th minute (scored a minute later).

19/20 they got a 2-2 even when it was starting to fall apart under Poch.

Their record up at Man. City compared to likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea is good and they always seem to hurt Man. City on the break so I'm not that shocked although you'd expect Man. City to score soon and then see if their defence can hold out.

"Haaland can't take it within his stride".

The pass was well off from Savinho. Nowhere near Haaland's fault.

You think City would make 8 points up or Arsenal 10 to 12 whatever it is?
It’s November? City are capable of a 10 game winning streak. Liverpool have barely been rattled yet. They’re capable of a big run of dodgy form. Arsenal are the team I wouldn’t rule out.

I think there's a world where they win it this season (for the record, I maintained my opinion last season that they'll finish 3rd no matter how the table looked at any point), but I expect them to drop off a little bit, and Arsenal to wake up and go on a run, in the next ~2 months.

Main thing that will keep Arsenal in this year is it's looking more likely 85 points will win it this year as opposed to 91 +.

Liverpool will drop points with some of their trickier away games coming up.

It's over. City aren't going to win today or next weekend. That's 12 points. Too much to catch.

With Klopp gone they are much more solid and not going to bottle it like last season.

Without Rodri, City really are a limp dick of a team.

Nordic Goal Yeti looks utter shite.
He’s a non-entity most of the time but it’s way more prevalent in their poor run of form. Just absolutely nothing about him as a player to pull some magic out from nowhere to change a game. Foden too. KDB and Rodri are the only City players who can do it.

inb4secondhalfhattrick

I wonder when the ref "will have no choice" but to send Bissouma off

Yeah. A Liverpool wobble will happen. Not panicking yet.

Doubt Slotty’s Liverpool will storm ahead the way Klopp’s did. Nowhere near as good of a side. As I say, keep your eye on Arsenal IMO.

Rico Lewis is the most overrated player in the premier league. Being a techno-midget without a real position doesn't make you some genius footballer just because you play for Pep.

Bernardo Silva is a horrible little rat

I don’t think they need to be as good. The quality in the league is down. They won’t need some ridiculous points total to get that job done. Arsenal haven’t the nerve.

He will. He isn't a clown like Klopp. He basically cost them last seasons title. Even Salah was fed up of his antics.

Could be 6 in a row next week. Liverpool will rip them.

We’ve been so shit this season our manager got the sack, and yet we were Zirkzee’s knee against Brighton and a mental West Ham penalty away from being 3rd at the start of play today.

Basically, everyone has been shite apart from Liverpool.

City, Newcastle (a) and Everton (a) in six days next week.

They will because everyone els have had bad seasons and dropped points to teams they should be winning. He’s also a lot more disciplined than Klopp. Knows how to defend and control better than a Klopp team.

Charges aside, didn't Pep say that he'd leave when he could no longer motivate the players?

Could that be starting to happen now?

Why did they sell Alvarez? Thought he was great for them
Actually a good move in my opinion, sold an unhappy and overrated player for great value before people woke up to his real quality. The issue was not replacing him, they had a disaster of a summer windown in hindsight.
