Premier League Gameweek 12

VAR just being implemented however any one official sees fit. How did it come to this :lol: only the premier league could mess this up.

He's had an easy fixture list but well done to Steve Bruce in recent weeks. Pleased to see him doing well.

Bonkers table with Newcastle 2 points off the top 6. More's the point they're 7 ahead of the relegation zone. As you're normally looking at around a point a game for teams in the bottom 3 (worse than that so far this season) that's a nice cushion. 5 or 6 defetas on the bounce and they still probably wouldn't be in the drop zone.

How is that not a pen for handball

At least one penalty missed in this game, arguably two, but VAR focuses on toenails being offside

Not VAR fault. Blame the refs and these are the refs that fans want to revert back to.
Its all reverse logic

I think var is supposed to be checking these incidents all the time, if they think there’s an issue they have a word in the refs ear to stop the game?

The ref can also forcibly send for a VAR check, but doesn’t have to.

I think VAR is dead for EPL, at least this stupid version of it.

Why though? We’re not really in a top 4 fight this season so it’s of no consequence to us if they lose.
The team occupying the fourth placed spot have the third best form (along with Man City) after Chelsea, and Liverpool. It is within our interest for their rhythm to be disrupted.
Prior to the game United were 10 points behind Leicester, not ideal but not big enough for United to concede ambitions to secure a top 4 place by the end of the season.
They play Brighton next who are doing considerably well given they narrowly escaped relegation last season. With Brighton currently having the 6th best form in the league, and United potentially causing a bump tomorrow,
they would be well up for it against Leicester as they are currently exceeding expectations.

Leicester getting closer. Just a matter of time methinks.

Insanely passive tactics again, it's only a matter of time till we concede if we stay this deep. Though if we do concede/ lose, we're at least closer to being rid of Emery...

everyone praising Leicester but everyone seems to be ignoring how wide open they are at the back.

Looking at Leicester play, it kinda reinforces how crucial coaching and tactics are - they don't have 11 world class players but play good football. Put this in context of United and you start to think if I is really all the players fault?!
