Premier League Gameweek 10

Yep. Really weird trend with Klopp, that all of his teams have fallen off a cliff in their 7th season.
It's most likely a combination of them being ran down to the ground last season, not replacing mane properly and and generally being lazy in the market while the squad has just gotten older.

He could probably fix it in a year or two given some resources but damn, wouldn't it be nice if they just had genuinely sack worthy season? A man can only wish.

I don’t like that being a penalty considering how close it is however going by the rules and adopting consistency, it’s 100% a penalty.

I am absolutely astonished it has not been given in Liverpool’s favour however.

They are in the race for the league but I don't think they can win it over City in a full season. What I like about this Arsenal team is all their bench players are contributing so much that when a first teamer is out there is no drop of in quality or the way they play.

You have to give credit to Arsenal, in this era where City have unlimited resources, crazy spending from United, Chelsea and Liverpool. Arsenal are making a good fight for the League.
They've spent a fair bit but they've spent it well. Jesus, Odegaard, Partey and Gabriel in particular have been shrewd signings in the last two years.

Handball rules change from game to game, ref to ref, scoreline to scoreline.

I'm convinced at this point it is purely narrative/entertainment based.

Did Tsimikas even touch Sana’a face there?

I don't think that is a pen but we have seen that given so many times in recent years, or even softer ones.

That's about as clear a pen you can get from a handball isn't it?

Nunez looks like a big male version of Red Riding Hood lost in the woods

Well they’ve spent over £100m this summer so yes it does (you suggest they haven’t)

They also spent £150m last.

They are doing well but they are spending money and not operating on a shoestring

Lower in terms of their overall standing. They are 9th for highest spenders in the second table but were 7th for net spend which was the first table. A lot of their success has come from the development of youth players like Saliba, Martinelli and Saka.

Salah had become Andros Townsend. He’s a decent player now.

Yep would say that spot on. Losing Mane seems to have had a big effect on the team. Luis Diaz looked like a great signing last season but I’m pretty sure his end product in terms of goals/assists is poor.

Also Salah isn’t the same player aftergetting the big contract.

If only.

They’ve had no success yet. They are playing well. They have spent plenty of money and made some good signings.

By all means praise Arsenal but we don’t have to make things up to make it more than it is.

It's entirely possible given we've seen both Liverpool and Dortmund collapse when injuries build up. Don't think it'll be as easy as some think Klopp fixing them even with some recourses. They've been jammy in regards to most players bar Keita hitting the ground running but Nunez is an example if it going South. Mane and Salah type signings are a one off.
