I missed the first day of games. This is the first competitive game I have watched in months except for the Messi in Miami matches. And it’s that comparison that’s so startling. You forget just how good the premier league is. The speed the game is played at, but with such technical supremacy, is really incredible. We talk a lot of shit over the course of the season, but after spending a month watching another league, it’s reminded me just how bloody good this league is.

C'mon you are being too much of a traditionalist. Football tactics have evolved and teams that play with a midfield are going to be left behind.
Liverpool are going to struggle so badly this season if they don't get somebody in to help that midfield out.

This has been a really entertaining game. The league is going to be very open this year with lots of teams going through transition and/or playing open and expansive football. Great viewing for the neutral.
