Premier League Gameweek 1

Jordan Pickford and the Gang.

Is this possibly the worst premierleague in years when it comes to midtable/relegation fodder, at least by names?

The top 2/3 teams could win a huge number of points this season imo. It’s stupidly top heavy towards the top 4 now

Never in a million years should that Keane goal be disallowed. Idiot keeper loses the ball.

It's such a shame that Welbeck never really learned how to shot, he would be hell of a player.

Yeah, if City have any desire left this year they will easily reach 95 points.

Are trying to flog us that broken keeper again  Considering how bad we were in preseason and I predicted a 3 nil loss - I’ll take that. Seriously though, just a week of Coopers coaching and Elanga looks the business.
If there is one thing Elanga can do, it is run down the channel at pace. His passing is still a bit crap though. Hope he does well for you lot. Him, Johnson, Awoniyi and Gibbs-White should be a good front 4 in theory.

It should be about 3-0 by now...we are probably going to lose 1-0. Ridiculous game.

That was both a really good and incredibly frustrating half. Can clearly see that Dyche has upped the fitness levels and our pressing is good. Onana has been fantastic + Iwobi good too. Fuming at Doucoure for that opportunity at the start of the game as if he passes to Garner it's 1-0 but Maupay has missed 2 or 3 one on ones now by shooting straight at Leno. If we had Danjuma or DCL playing instead we would be 2 up by now. Positives to take though and if we manage to bring in one or two forwards I think we will be alright this season.

It really does look bad this year.

17/18 is the benchmark for that, though. Basically every team below Burnley in 7th deserved to go down that season.

If I were Dyche, I'd have subbed Doucoure on the spot. What he did was criminal in terms of football

I think it’s going to get worse simply because of the spending of Saudi and the top 4/5 in this league.

When the likes of Wolves, Palace, Brighton, Brentford, West Ham are losing their best players to bigger clubs or Saudi rich clubs the quality is going to naturally become poor below the top teams.

Elanga’s did hit a couple of wayward crosses in preseason but with the pace we have now he should be able to break in numbers. Add to that front 4, Danilo and Yates who can both shift, we could theoretically break with 4 or 5 bodies in the box. We just need a CB and a 6 who can pass.

Any of these games with any quality? Trying to figure out if any good games to watch

Adidas have gone big on the black outline for their kits this season. Fulham's kit is more black than white.

Mitrovic wants to be subbed off a minute after coming on. Still trying to force a move to Saudi?

edit: staying on it seems

Brighton not starting Ferguson? We'll take him off your hands if you don't want to use him...

Luton are actually decent. If they play this they will get a few results to keep them up. My top 3 to get relegated are Wolves, Sheffield and Forest.
