Premier League Gameweek 1

It's so sad that my local club is going bankrupt because I illegally watched the last 15 minutes of this. :(

Difficult to think of a more unlikable club than Arsenal. City's dominance is annoying but irrelevant. Arsenal playing someone on bail for serial raping, their faux angry manager's hardman act and Saka's constant diving and feigning injuries.

Easy game, never in doubt

I’ve just realised we play on Monday then Saturday. Arsenal play today and then play next Monday? 4 extra days of rest! :wenger:

Assistants in the area, that has to be a booking.

There’s a few rules this season that are going to go down as “cracked down hard in preseason and charity shield as a warning and then forgot about as soon as the season started” rules.

Picked Arsenal in last man standing so I'll take it. City won't be worried having watched that.

I predicted end of last season that Arsenal is just as likely to fall back alongside the rest of top 4 chasers as making the step up to match City. After today’s performance, that still holds true, despite the £200m spend.

4th or 5th for them this year. Leicester went from 1st to 12th after their flukey year. I don't see such a big swing for Arsenal but deluded if they think their bottle job squad will challenge.

See, Forest? Just one player with that United DNA™ almost got you a draw at the Emirates. We've got another one just waiting for an offer. There is still time.

Jokes aside, it was a good effort from Forest. Elanga and Awoniyi had some good moments but once Arsenal went full defense Forest didn't have the quality.

Which one is McRapey?

Saka? Like when some goon trod on him with his full body weight late on.

Yeah, not sure why all the pundits, except some of the nakedly partisan Liverpool-affiliated ones, seemingly have them a dead cert for the top 2. Havertz isn't a no.9 and has been erratic in PL so far, even when Chelsea in better form. Rice is good but wildly overvalued, particularly in terms of price-tag, and might not add all that much beyond 1st team squad depth compared to last season with Partey. The squad is slightly stronger, but is it improved relative to the improvements sides below have made in key areas...

How long do you think someone can be on bail for by the way? Do you seriously think matey has been on bail for well over a year?

Its schedules like this that fecks us over. I swear we never get lucky when it comes into schedules

Luton’s final ball isn’t really there. They’ve had some chances to counter on Brighton. Brighton have had most of it so far though.

We will shortly have Greenwood in the team or the women's trans will block it and become villains. Now how does that make United look?

Clubs do not have any morals and that includes United post Fergie. Do you think Greenwood would be under any sort of consideration if Fergie was in charge?

Arsenal are doing what's best for the club. What Liverpool did was absolute scumbag behavior.

Luton's quality seems really limited. They're all fight and thats about it.

Mikel Arteta looks like a potato... that's a reasonably unique tan.

Are trying to flog us that broken keeper again  Considering how bad we were in preseason and I predicted a 3 nil loss - I’ll take that. Seriously though, just a week of Coopers coaching and Elanga looks the business.

Jordan Pickford and the Gang.

Brighton’s quality is drastically decreased without Mac Allister and Caicedo, which is to be expected.

Mitoma will be the next to leave, possibly as early as January.

I find incredible how such shit player like Maupay still plays and starts for PL clubs
As soon as we get in those one or two players we have been targeting he won't be. There is a rumour that Moshiri/BK signed him and Thelwell wanted to sign other options.
