Premier League Festive Season

Because it's not nearly as effective as it once was. He doesn't need to change it entirely, but a few alterations here and there to freshen things up wouldn't hurt.
They need their best players back, and a few new faces.

They will win today.

De Bruyne is a fecking tank. He never stops running and is probably the most confident player on the ball in the league.

Because pragmatics.

That has been Leicester's only chance, literally.

Dominating team gets caught on counter, it happens. City keep the amount of counters down. World class finish from Vardy (best striker in league on form now??).

96 goals in 193 appearances is a fairly competitive return. He's one of the most consistent strikers in the PL of the last decade.

I think he'd be great in the current United team which focuses on counterattacking.

Quite soft that pen, yeah. Type of decision that would have Guardiola foaming if it was conceded against him

For example Liverpool and Leicester was a good game but City are making them look like a bottom 3 team whose only chance is the odd counter.

Also for the Ole haters we were much better against City than Leicester have been. In the second half they killed us but Leicester are lucky to have scored from their only chance. Honestly City at their best are the best team in Europe.

Not for a player who so many see as a massive improvement on Shaw. Chillwell is a decent improvement but nothing more than that. Would be a waste of money for the price involved.

There have been plenty of fullbacks who can do both.

Who would be a massive improvement?

Must be so hard to be a defender these days, any sort of contact and an attacker is fully justified in diving to win the foul/pen.

I'd argue losing Sane to a long term injury makes it harder for him to make alterations. He gives them something different when he's fit

Sané, D. Silva, Agüero, Laporte and Stones have all been on the long term injury list this season for them and some still are. They might still be a good side but you can definitely see the loss of quality on the field.

Not aware of anyone right now but the money needed for Chilwell would be a waste for what he actually offers. He'd cost 70 million or more and for that he'd have to be the next Irwin instead of a decent attacking full back.

It's hard but on the other hand they shouldn't be so stupid to make these challenges.

Now the title is secured for Pool sadly. Annoying evening. They are also going to win the club world cup.
Even if Leicester beat Pool the gap is too wide.

Stupid challenge.

Yeah had that Albrighton challenge on Mane at Anfield feel about it. Liverpool are definitely putting one hand on the title without kicking a ball.

Feels very much like the City V Chelsea game where they have hit back after going behind.

Expecting Rodgers to do the right thing and make it a draw at FT.

It makes no difference what the result is, even if Leicester win they won’t be anywhere near the title.

City still the best when on form. Liverpool have had a lot of luck.
Every good side has a bit of luck. Even City last season. We are talking about a team that won the CL and nearly won the league. Liverpool and City are equally strong sides.

As a footballing team they are a good bit better. Liverpool are excellent but their level of play is a god bit behind City. In many ways Liverpool are a long ball team at their best to Mane and Salah and outside of that it's crosses and set pieces.
Liverpool are a long ball team by design. They have rapid wingers and excellent crossers. Their level of play is different as City but they are both play excellent football.,

A couple of weeks ago I would have hoped Leicester to win this to pressure Liverpool. But having seen the cnutiness of a couple of Leicester fans here has made me want City to thrash them.

Put it this way: City can make any team look like they don't belong on the same pitch as them whereas I very rarely see Liverpool do this. Granted I agree that Liverpool are an incredible side.
