Premier League Festive Season

It's how they play and they don't change it. Like Blackpool when they came up. Entertaining, but suicidal defending.
If that Blackpool side just sat back they would have had a miserable season and lost 2 nil most weeks, with those players it was always going to be a tall order to stay up so they may aswell have had some fun while swimming against the tide.

Every attempted clearance Norwich try hits Moura, he's like 5 foot!!

Yep. Think he has stuck with the lads who got them up as well.

7 minutes of added time. Long enough for Spurs to win this.

Norwich dead on their feet now.

Foreigners brought that culture of diving to the PL.

I know you’re on the wind up but one of the most prolific divers in history was Manchester City’s Francis Lee, he holds a record of scoring 15 penalties in a season in 71-72, many of which he won himself with the dark arts.

Is that really a penalty?
Why do you think that isn't a penalty?
It's weird but I can't see that being a penalty, the defender is already on the floor and Kane lost the ball with his touch, it was going away from him.

I am on a wind up a bit but I've seen tons of comments like that all over the media, as if English football was clean as whistle before foreign players started coming in with their antics.

that’s not correct, he uses a Cruyff turn to take the ball away from the defender but the sliding defender then blocks his running route to complete the move. He exaggerated the contact but it’s 100% a pen.

Eriksen MOTM is a strange one, he's looked as disinterested as he has been all season

Francis Lee was just using his experience and it was clever play

Kane knew the foul was coming and he dragged the ball back waiting for it.

But the defender was brain dead, slid in to block the ball and ended up sliding into Kane.

It's a blatant penalty, I'm baffled how anyone can watch it and say it isn't a foul.

I somewhat kept my gf watching the PL footie this afternoon instead of the MonteCarlo circus show on tellie and she said that this is not the football she watches over here in Italy... more ballet on ice, without any contact among the players... that’s food for thought, I also very often think of a simple binary fouling rule in the PL these days: no touch vs catastrophic touch... no dark arts, no man-marking physical contact to unbalance the oppo, no kicks to make them limp or tire.... ballet it is then :wenger:

If it wasn't for the time of year with the fixture congestion and rotation needed, I'd say it is the kind of side Mourinho puts out when people ask why x, y and z aren't starting (replace with N'Dombele, Eriksen and Lo Celso respectively), only to field them all in the same team in a disjointed way that won't get the best out of them.

It kinda smacks of that even with the heavy schedule

I think you mean an elastico chop made famous by Ronaldino and Quaresma!

Leicester win 2-1. Rodgers had made 9 changes. Problems for West Ham, 1 point above the relegation zone

Embarrassing for West Ham to lose at home to basically Leicester City 2nd string side. Well done Norwich, the very least they deserved was a draw.

Had to do a double take when Matterface said on TS just now Spurs would've gone 4th with a win....

They've been rubbish for months, hardly ever win away and failed to beat the bottom club tonight.

Such a strange league this season below 1st.

It’s in vogue to slate Moyes around these parts, it seems, but he was doing a good job with West Ham until they fired him for a more exotic name. I hope they’re relegated. One less ‘United is our Cup Final’ side to worry about. Jumped-up, game-raising wankers.
