For offsides there is no such thing as clear and obvious error. It's onside or offside, rules suck but they are what they are
These hairline offside goals being disallowed could all be resolved by copying the VAR strategy for offsides in Germany. I mean they've had 2 more seasons with the technology so why not just emulate them? Because the PL are so stubborn that they want to dictate how it's finally going to be used universally. Pathetic
The premier League has forgot how it has got to its position in world football and that was by giving the advantage to the attacker in that situation.

VAR have said it is because he came back from an offside position. To me it should only be when the ball is actually passed to him. It is infuriating.

Have to say I'm watching less and less football now because VAR has sucked the joy out of it for me. Not watching tonight's game so can't comment on the actual decision, but my girlfriend thinks VAR is a wonderful thing.
