Premier League Festive Season

Did VAR find the sniper on Rudiger yet?
If he hadn't milked it, VAR wouldn't have given a red card for raking his studs up his chest in an act of petulance. I don't really blame players for milking things like that due to the ineptness of the referees.

Remember when Wilshere headbutted Fellaini and Fellaini just laughed at him? Nothing from the ref. Countless examples of that. If de Gea had gone down holding his head last week then Everton wouldn't have had their goal allowed.

I guess you could give it a red but it’s too soft for me. It’s barely a kick ffs. Rudiger went down like a disgrace too.

He doesn’t have to make full contact. It’s the attempt to kick him which is a red card. Which is the rules.

And racist remark again ffs. We moan about Bulgaria.

Going batsh*t sooner than expected at Spurs, don’t they?

It's the intent, the same as going in to headbutt somebody, but not making much contact. Sick of idiots and their racism.

He’s not that type of player, though!

I can see why it’s been given as a red but I don’t know, just seems too small an incident to change a game on.

This game has been so enjoyable. Reminds me of the Chelsea of ten years ago. We've put them back in their place here tonight. They are our urinal, we've pissed all over them.

Stadium announcement on the racial abuse, think that's the first time the protocol has been used in premier league match.

VIOLENT CONDUCT

Violent conduct is when a player uses or attempts to use excessive force or brutality against an opponent when not challenging for the ball, or against a team-mate, team official, match official, spectator or any other person, regardless of whether contact is made.

In addition, a player who, when not challenging for the ball, deliberately strikes an opponent or any other person on the head or face with the hand or arm, is guilty of violent conduct unless the force used was negligible.

Not sure what Son did really falls under any of those descriptions, even if it's hard to sympathise. The racism is sadly unsurprising with Johnson, a racist himself, winning against a party who are under investigation for anti-Semitism then clearly the racists feel liberated.

I read Son is off and thought I'd take a peak. Glad Chelsea is winning.

Mourinho to have a meltdown hopefully:D

I just heard that too. It's certainly the first time I've ever heard of it being done during a game.
Wait that's going on too? What the hell? From Spurs or Chelsea supporters?

Probably some people from Bulgaria and Italy on vacation are responsible for that. Those things doesn't happen in the Premier League.

Rudiger told Azpilicueta (Chelsea captain) that he's been racially abused but a Spurs fan. Azpi told the ref who went over to the touchline and ordered a stadium announcement.

Pretty much the first time the new system has been used exactly as it is supposed to be.

Raheem Sterling would certainly disagree.

Only thing I'd say is different abroad is the Bulgaria stuff seemed very organised and also in Italy when it happens and premier league incidents are one or two morons. Still no excuse for it but this is the way society has been going backwards last decade I'm afraid.

I'm glad they addressed it instantly. Honestly it's like racists seem to have become more emboldened.

Eh you missed reading the attempts to use part?

He attempted to use excessive force. It's pretty clear cut although harsh.

6 point gap to top 4 restored, Son misses the next 3 games …. we have it all to do now to finish in the top 4.
And 7 point gap for United. Fair play to Chelsea for 4th spot on Christmas day but how good have they been? is it a case they are simply less mediocre than the sides below them..
