Premier League Festive Season

I cannot fathom how that isn't a penalty. I saw the replay and had zero doubt it would be given. It was textbook the arm not being part of the natural silhouette of the player

Wow. Now I'm convinced this VAR implementation is being done poorly on purpose. No other explanation for me.

Exactly. People blame the technology when it's clearly being sabotaged by this bunch of cnuts.
Of course they would love VAR to be gone, they would go back to the good old days of manipulating results without any kind of scrutiny.

How can VAR decide that wasn't handball in such a short space of time. Its feel like it is being done deliberately to get VAR removed
I've been saying this for a while now. These decisions are just plain suspect. It's sinister and brilliant at the same time.

Why have they already made three subs? Injuries?

Two injuries in the first half which both resulted in subs. Bruce then subbed Shelvey at half time but no one knows why. I presume a further injury.

People blaming VAR for that, but Mike Dean is looking straight at it and he should be making the call. If Mike Dean gives the penalty, VAR would not have overturned it. The problem with that one is the weak onfield officiating.

This is true

People are blaming VAR for not overturning a clear and obvious and obvious decision. We already know Mike Dean is a clown.

And yet the people who are supposed to clear his obvious mistake, don't do it. Even though, they have the advantage of watching the situation again and again...
That's a ridiculously bad decision, at least when its offside you can say that they are going by the rules, even if the offside is in millimeters.

Doucoure looks very good as a no10, not your intricate playmaker but basically everything you want and hope Lingard is supposed to offer. Plus he can play as a DM and quintessential boxtobox

That is an amazing (non) decision.

Teams really need to pressure the FA into actually usually VAR correctly.
Its obvious it’s the people using VAR who are inept. The technology whilst has its limitations seems a step forward and should not be abandoned.

Eriksen's been shite.

I’d be quite wary about picking him up if I was another club. A tonne of miles on the clock, and I’m not convinced that his comparative lack of spring and effectiveness is purely about self-preservation for a move....

Agreed, they've set the bar so high for VAR to overturn anything that they just back up the poor decisions anyway.

It's arse-covering at it's finest.

Just get the ref to look at the thing himself and he can over rule his initial decision as they seem to be so precious about anyone else doing it.

Mike Dean is such a prick I wouldn’t be surprised if VAR told him it was a penalty and he still said no.

That was such an obvious penalty to Southampton, what is his arm doing out there if not attempting unnaturally to block a ball in.

The public should be able to listen to what the refs say. They are so secretive about you'd think they are government.

I presume Neto’s goal was allowed to stand this time since he didn’t score this one at Anfield?

If they got rid of VAR can they make it a rule that the wronged manager can punch the referee with no fear of punishment?

VAR is weird. turned a yellow into a red for Watford.. seemed harsh.
