Premier League Festive Season (Gameweek 18-20)

He's really hurt, wouldn't have joiked had I knew that.
Hope he recovers quickly.

If Arsenal didn’t have Anfield in their heads, they could get at this lot.

No fit left backs for Liverpool now. That must be awful.

Salah’s sheer brilliance might be enough to seal the title. That’s not to say Liverpool don’t have quality elsewhere (which they obviously do), I just look at them compared to Arsenal and - all-round - Arsenal just look more convincing. Especially in midfield.

City will surely return and challenge, just their usual mid-season blip.

For all the talk of how good Liverpool all, very half their strategy is to pass to Salah and hope for some magic

Can't see City win it this season, the World club cup and less efficient this season and Arsenal being Arsenal so...:nervous:

Barcelona used it to good enough effect with Messi in his later years and it won them League titles.

Is zinchenko ever going to challenge salah or just keep sidestepping in front of him?

Robertson is a big loss for Liverpool.

Luke Shaw really is good isn't he? Amazing that we kept Salah quiet last week.

That one passage of chasing from Diaz puts our entire frontline to shame.

difference between Alison and Onana - Liverpool just prevented a goal buy brave keeping, diving at player's feet. Onana: kneels down and does feck all

The rumours from February last season were he was signing for Arsenal as soon as the season concluded so I don't think you were ever really in the frame. In ideal world he'd have gone to Chelsea but they made such a mess of last season it was smarter to sign for Arsenal and stay in London that way.

Probably chance to go for him was maybe summer 2020 when you were going to pay a big fee for Grealish but that fell through quite late in the summer. Wouldn't have been as polished as Casemiro but would've been a decade long signing.
So annoying that all the good deals fall through like Grealish, Bellingham, Haaland, Kane etc, while all the shit ones get over the line. Saying that, they’d probably turn out shit either way, but it’s hard to see how we’d be quite so bad.

Yeah, he's good most of the time. Of our starting line-up today only him and Bruno really stand out over the rest in terms of general quality (not their performance today). I'd argue you wouldn't think twice about any of the other players lining up for Fulham or Crystal Palace.
