It'll probably be "United will sign players after the Euros. Player X doesn't want to get distracted while on international duty."
And then Euros goes by, and "United are monitoring and contemplating a bid."
Few weeks goes by, and "United lowball bids are rejected / United have to sell before buying, hampered by FFP."
Deadline day, "United managed to scrape 2 signings."
Both signings flops in debut season due to "lack of pre-season".
More deadwood to sell next season.

Indeed. Nobody has a clue what's going on, which in comparison to previous years, is probably a good thing.
 
10th of August when we finally cave as we always do and give Everton the 70m they're asking for for Branthwaite.

According to the Interweb we have already signed De Ligt , Zirkzee, Yoro and Ugarte.

Early(ish) in the window seems quite positive. I don't know much bout zirkzee, he doesn't seem prolific, but does add another attacking option and the noise suggests de ligt is done. Yoro and branthwaite strong rumours too.

Still mf concerns, rumours of ins and outs, VdB moving means nothing but do need 1+ first teamer in.
