Predict the date of our first summer signing

I’m not sure, hopefully we can have a successful transfer window for once.

I can’t stand the entire

“United want to sign “player name”, positive discussions between the 2 camps - player open to move but its complicated. *insert miscellaneous reason as to why it’s complicated* But there is traction!”

No signings. With all the players coming back from injuries, it's like we have signed 10 new players. That's what management will say.

How long will it take to assess the needs of our squad for next season before making summer signings? In just a few minutes, I can evaluate what areas require strengthening. ;)
Exactly. It's been known for months.

Really?

I'm not sure signing players has been the issue over the years. Quality of players is.

J Evans, 1st July, one of our best CB signing in the past 10 years, unfortunately

Its probably going to bit late in the window knowing how our club operates, at the moment we just seem to be making lowball offers that are never going to be accepted.

You don't know how our club operates, because the people making the decisions are entirely different people to previous windows. Why not give it a month and see what happens, rather than traipsing out the same old tired, lazy soundbites?

I think the first major signing will be Branthwaite for around 55-60million towards the end of this month / early next month. I'm going to say 05/07/24

Well after 4 1/2 months I still havent sern anything from them that gives me confidence things will be any different under them, the ridiculous drawn out review that ended up with Erik not leaving afterall and the utterly ridiculous pursuit of Dan Ashworth that has been going on for months and is still nowhere near completition are both indicators of how slow we are likely to be in the transfer market.

4 and a half months in which they have replaced almost the entire executive management level at the club, targeting football people to replace banking people in those roles. 18 weeks in which they have announced plans in partnership with the city to rebuild or renovate the stadium and announced a £50m renovation of Carrington.

A ridiculously drawn out review that lasted 2.5 weeks, or 11 working days from us winning the FA Cup final, during a time when much of the footballing operations areas of the club would’ve been on leave.

The utterly ridiculous pursuit of a man who is seen as best in class in the position we want him for, and who is serving a similar period of gardening leave to the one he sat through when he moved from Brighton to Newcastle.

The transfer window opened on Friday for crying out loud. Stop spouting opinions spoonfed to you by clickbait websites and tabloids, and try engaging your brain for a couple of minutes a day to look at what’s happening and consider how things work in the real world.
