3rd.
In my view, it could be pretty close. City, Chelsea and United have added well to their squads. I just feel that we could be lacking slightly on goals. And of course you can't discount Liverpool with VVD back fit.

We'll be winning it this season, I do not see why we shouldn't so we'll finish 1st.

2nd with a very close title race between us and City. Chelsea won't be far off either.

I think we could certainly win it, but I'm not expecting us to. There's real positive vibes around the place, and I feel Ole has learned and grown enough as a manager to mount a serious challenge.

Adding Sancho and Varane should lift the team to over 80 points. I also think DVB will have a bigger role this season.
Man City will not be as motivated since they won last season. My prediction; 1 st

I've gone back and forth on this one in my mind. It's all going to come down to injuries, imo. We'll finish somewhere between first and third, depending on how well our players stay fit/injury-free, and the same for City, Chelsea, and Liverpool's players, in that order.

I'm also curious how the international scene is going to have an impact on this season. We've just come off the Euros and the World Cup is very close, too. I've said that we're going to finish third, but that's at the very least. If we really, really go for it and get lucky with a lack of injuries on our part, then it may just go our way.

I really like this fence that I'm sitting on.

I'm confident this is our year. Sancho is on a completely different planet from what we've had up front since the days of the boy Ronaldo.

United
City
Chelsea
Liverpool

Comfortably top 3, solid defense, creativity and various goal threats. Talented squad that should be challenging, if De Gea can have a reniassance(not sold on Henderson) and Varane settles they should be close, and a real threat in the CL.

I've been unsure on where we'll finish this season up until the last few days but I think the Lukaku deal has crystallised it for me. We'll ultimately end up third but it will be a close run thing between us and them for 2nd. City will ultimately end up clear in 1st and we'll be a bit ahead of Liverpool who will be 4th IMO

Hard to tell. Could be anywhere from 1st to 4th. At this moment it feels like we have an excellent squad, and I think we can definitely win it, but City, Chelsea, and Liverpool can too.

It's gonna be extremely competitive and we need just that bit of luck to edge it.

Chelsea signing a player that was deemed not good enough for us, has 'crystallised' it for you that they're now better than us? Very peculiar indeed. We'll run City close with Chelsea finishing close enough to us in third. We have a better first eleven than them for sure.

2nd, City are just too strong and adding Kane to their squad would be ridiculous. As long as we close the gap to first and put up some sort of a challenge it will be progress.

1st next year when we sign Haaland.

Because even if that player who was ultimately not good enough for Utd is the same player now (personally I think that's unlikely) then he is still exactly what Chelsea need: a consistent goalscorer. Even if that means he doesn't score against the big clubs like he used to do.

Chelsea's biggest issue by far was the lack of killer instinct in front of goal. Werner was missing chance after gilt-edged chance and Tammy was still a little too green. Lukaku will go a long way to remedying that. Say what you want about him (and I have said A LOT about him on here) but he's as close to a guarantee of 25 goals as you can get in a lineup like Tuchel's Chelsea, who btw, created more big chances than any other PL side since he arrived.

Utd on the other hand, had three clear issues, which were, in order of magnitude: a workmanlike midfield which was devoid of craft, a nonexistent RW, and a lack of proper defensive cover/high defensive line.

We fixed two of these which will no doubt improve us, but they won't provide the sort of step change and transformation that a proper DM/CM would. Lukaku coming back has provided Chelsea with that transformative change.

Squad wise we are there behind city but with pep and tuchel at the helm of city and chelsea it wont happen.

Looks like these predictions probably won't come to fruition, except for the 5 votes that had us between 5th and 7th.

Aren't you guys gonna change your vote. Finish 1st under this clown heheh

I think if we changed manager now anywhere in top four is viable (with 1st being unlikely but not impossible). If Ole stays, I think we’ll be 4th or 5th.

Yeah, I'm honestly worried that we may not finish top 4 if he stays.

Ole and the Glazers praying that Liverpool equalize so the gap to top 4 doesn't grow too big. The holy grail of top 4 keeps incompetent Solskjaer in a job for another season.

Why are you guys so concerned about top 4 when we have no chance of winning the Champions league with this manager. If we scrape through this period and get top 4 with incompetent Ole in charge they'll probably give him an extended contract and bang goes another season of not challenging for the major honours.

Crazy thing is we're only 9 points behind Chelsea, this season is eminently salvageable if the board could ever act decisively. But as things are I think we'll wait until turning it around is a fuzzy pipe dream and then bring in someone thoroughly underwhelming as manager anyway. 6th place I reckon.

Targeting Liverpool is pointless. They are better than us with the clueless one in charge, so we won’t catch them.

West Ham on the other hand is only 6 points ahead. With a coach that does not suck, we can catch them. Assuming of course that we act in time, which is a false assumption.

10th
Chelsea
City
Liverpool
West Ham
Arsenal
Tottenham
Brighton
Leicester
Everton
Manchester United

I think this season hasnt gone how most of us predicted. Its looking 6-8th at the moment if Ole stays. All the managers mentioned, including Rodgers, would improve us no end and probably get top 4 at least.

I wasn't as confident as most and predicted 4th all along. Still think we can do it but it's going to be a struggle rather than comfortable as I thought.

6th if Ole stays, 3rd if good replacement comes in now

If Ole's sacked asap, 4th. If he stays until the new year/feb, then I think top 4 will be too far away to save. If he stays all season, 7/8th or so?

I can't believe I was optimistic. There is no bottom with this guy in charge.

4th with Ole in charge and the luck that often follows him...although I hope we get a new manager in the next few days

I cast my vote for 2nd but clearly I gave Ole too much credit for improving year on year only to feck it all up this season.

I'll go for 5th-7th if he stays but won't be surprised if we finish lower.
