John Robertson
John Robertson
One of my faves.. such an underrated player.
Cheers! I didn't even have him slotted for this early (thought I could get him on the 4/5 turn) but when took Rocky Rocastle (I really wanted him) I realized I better pick him now
Irwin in 2nd division for Oldham?
Phil Neal.

ray wilkins @youngrell
You had to jinx it, didn't you?nice pace today
@Cal? Looking to beat his 460 minute record? You had to jinx it, didn't you?
I wanted every single one of your picks.....
Those two and I would also add Jardine to the list. I really wanted himI'm surprised Neal lasted this long as I was expecting him to go soon after Hughes. Him and McGrain are probably the standout attacking RBs in this draft.
Yeah, in hindsight I probably should have picked him (he's top of my RB list) and gambled on Irwin staying.... heyho.I'm surprised Neal lasted this long as I was expecting him to go soon after Hughes. Him and McGrain are probably the standout attacking RBs in this draft.

The FA cup semi against us in 90.I made the same mistake in picking Muhren (should have waited, though Ardiles pick forced me into it). RB is more important as you have top wingers are on the left (Barnes, Best, Brady etc).
Though you can play Irwin on the right as he played there for Oldham too.

Anyway, first few rounds have shown me I need to think about ORDER of picks as well as the picks themselves.
Such a draft virgin.
1-4-5.... Irwin will be fine by himself.I think we are all this draft. After the first three rounds, I think most of the players will be draft newcomers so no one really has an idea how the voters as a group will rate the formations.
I must be doing this wrong. My very short list (just 6 players) is still intact and none have been picked, except for Ardiles
It's surprising Ardiles even lasted for Enigma. I was expecting to go late 1st or early 2nd round.
I only briefly mentioned this with Pat, and no idea if we were in agreement or not with this
I was just about to post Whiteside as our pick myself, so I'm in full agreement
