It's fine. Are you picking another right winger?I haven't made my 12th pick yet!
Now is it OK that I make the pick knowing you are my opponent?
If he just scored that goal and that goal alone, he’d still be worth the pick.
Hard to say given he came from such lofty heights, but from what I saw he didn't age that well. How bad a pick can Bobby Moore be? Expected him to go a bit earlier.
Stanley Matthews? It's fine. Are you picking another right winger?

Mine are ....... "442. Think we'll score"Thanks. I'll send you my tactics today
Moore and Best got picked, but not Charlton! I was thinking of picking Bobby C as my last pick...opted for Currie instead.

That is a tough draw, when would you like to play @Chesterlestreet ?
Seattle? Is it like in the Leo Waterman books?I might not even start Moore but he played like 3 seasons at top level in the timeline and got placed in Ballon D'or list two of those seasons and he played practically every game in those seasons so wasn't really affected by any injuries etc. He did declined by his very high standards but he was still a fine CB at least for the first two years. Most importantly he along with Mike England pulled on the jersey of my local team -
Excellent. Give it a few years when we're all bored and WM will be making a return.I am going to play the WM formation
Indeed. Cheers! I hope I can work him into my side.
@Frank Grimes Great job on your first draft. Yours was one of the 3 sides I was hoping to avoid. Whatever day works for you should be fine for me
Had a few possible left who I'd pick over some that got picked.... one in particular from the "very good player who played a handful of qualifying games" criteria.Who do we think should or could have been picked? Any standouts?
Never read those books, how's it described ? If it says rainy then thats more or less correct.Seattle? Is it like in the Leo Waterman books?
Weekend is fine with me.Preferably not before the weekend - doesn't really matter, though, whenever's convenient for you.

BUT, can't they still be picked by players who get through this round?
Yeah.. I couldn’t justify picking him.. I thought about Stiles as well but again a few years past his peakI was close to taking Frank McLintock but he was really a year or two after his peak.

Not checked but don't remember....
UK - Stepney, Bailey, Lukic, Norman Hunter, Duxbury, Brian Talbot, Tony Morley, Mike Phelan, Neil Webb, Paul Mariner (lot of goals?), Brian Kidd (traitor), Luther Blissett, Steve Archibald
Foreigners less so.... John Metgod, Nick Claesen, Alex Sabella, Mirandinha and one for @Cal? ..... a member of the great Borussia Monchengladbach team and 1977 European Player of the year.... Allan Simonsen.
