Edgar Allan Pillow
Ero-Sennin
So now he's comparable with Rijkaard or Matthaus?
There's "selling" your players but........

As a DM, I'd rate him below just Souness in this draft

I consider him more of a DLP than a DM, tbh. Iirc there was quote from himself that he played as a sweeper more due to his playmaking than for his defensive qualities or something like that.
me againAnyone going to be around for a while?
Per my last choice above, I was typing in Edgar's @ address and it just wouldn't create a tag. I had to do a separate post.Sorry lads that tag never gave me an alert - I was on the caf a couple of hours ago as well. Will pick now.
Still don't know how he didn't win an Oscar for his acting skills in that film. Like a Scottish De Niro![]()
He had a spectacular goalscoring record for a CM/DM, and owned a quality moustache. He also defeated the Nazis.
@Tuppet
John Motson's commentary during the Scotland - Holland tie in 1992 said:Van Basten is second best to Gough all the time at the moment, being absolutely outplayed.
Glenn Hoddle said:Fabulous player. Could leap so high, read the game so well, was quick, could come out on the ball and he could pass it. He was a threat at set-plays going forward and he could score goals.
Graeme Souness said:Extremely athletic, powerful, angry. Couldn't get in a race with him. In training I always tried to play in the same 5-a-side team as him, because he was all elbows and knees - more people got injured playing against him in training than any other player.

Fecker.
I couldn’t afford to lose out on goalkeeper as well.. Now to find good full backs and strikers

Anybody around to take my pick?
You've done enough damage taking McGovern and Shilton![]()
