I just don’t know. There is so little urgency and tempo to our game. When we got some space in transition it looks ok, but we move the ball so slow otherwise. But we won.

A great chance to improve our goal difference and we blew it. We need to up the pace and speed of pass throughout the team. Great performance from Rashford in the second half and he could easily have had a hat trick if he had been a bit more selfish.

Fingers crossed Ronaldo is gone in January. I can live with his ineffectiveness and decline(not really) but it's the sheer fact that we close our eyes to better options on the pitch to try to find him. For some reasons all the players are more worried about setting him up instead of going for the right plays. All the cut backs were intended for Ronaldo despite better options elsewhere. Players are even passing scoring opportunities to set him up.

Manager also likely didn't want to sub him up because of the media storm and probably his own tantrum despite him clearly not being up for it this game. Martial gets dumped on the right were he is ineffective. From players to manager, everyone is trying to pander to him which cost us. We'd probably have scored a lot more goals in the second half if Martial had played centrally as the striker and Ronaldo subbed out. It's a bit infuriating.

Ronaldo is cooked at this level, which is sad considering this level is Europa League football.

It's shocking how much he has regressed even in only a year.

Absolutely loved those first 2 goals. Rashford and Martial looking as sharp as that would change everything for us. Fingers crossed.

Too many lazy players who don't close down or press the opposition in their defensive third.

At one stage, their number 16 stood in midfield and took the ball off a team mate 5 times before running 30 yards and creating a chance, all of that was without any pressure from any of our players.

We let him drop deep for an easy out ball about 50 times, completely without being tracked or pressured

Think it's fair to say we're still very much a work in progress. The defensive fragility is a real worry though because you can see it affect the players and their confidence/decision making as any mistake seems to end in a chance for the opposition so we get tentative and a bit nervy. It's not a new problem by any means and one that's probably made a number of ex managers resort to a safety first approach with this team, I just hope EtH can find a solution.

I enjoyed this one - it was fun to watch, unlike the game at Sheriff (or Leicester or Southampton).

It has to be the Antony-Martial-Rashford frontline now, right? Surely it's obvious at this point.

I’m convinced it was just a bad shot from Ronaldo for the assist on Rashford’s second goal. Distant and poor quality EL oppo who we completely outplayed but conceded two really poor goals. Job done, move on.
That was a shot. See Ronaldo’s initial reaction when Rashy scores.

Rashford showing some hunger.

Ronaldo at least looks to be gaining his fitness. Missing pre-season for anyone at this level let alone a 37 year old is not easy to overcome. He can still make a positive contribute this season. So there!

Need to up the tempo against teams like this, looked to me like too many players were thinking about Everton on Sunday, and didn't want to over exert themselves.
What is Sancho's problem, need to find something soon, to peripheral for me.

We need a proper CF with Martial in Jan window. Ronaldo is dropped too fast and finished.

Martinez, Rashford, and Martial were great. Stop playing Ronaldo. I beg. The guy is so finished, and our players feel obligated to try and feed him. Just stop this madness.

We win this game by way more if Ronaldo is nowhere near the pitch.

Even though we won the game, our performance was shocking!

Passing is very slow, sloppy on the ball, not even trying to go trough their lines and our attacking play isn't even near to complete.

I actually forgot we were playing tonight and ended up missing the game. Typical.

Could have put 8 past them.

Martinez was brilliant. Rashford brilliant too.

Worried about sancho.

Bit of a mess defensively, should of scored more than we did, looked most dangerous on the break. Like a hark back to the days of Ole.

It was all about Ronaldo tantrums. Every player was passing to him and he shot time and time again from whatever angle possible. Horrible watch.

it is so sad to watch Ronaldo :( I am not even angry. He really tries hard but he is finished at this level. He is still a great athlete considering his age and achieved everything. He should retire.

We need to sign a CF in January to cover for Martial. Is that where Gakpo plays?

3-2 was a really flattering result for them. Should have put the game to sleep multiple times, but Ronnie had what must have been one of his most wasteful days on the pitch. You could see he couldn’t believe what was happening out there.
3 points, move on.

by my calculations that makes us the third best team in cyprus.

Genuine luagh out loud :)

Has the rules changed in this competition regarding finishing places in the group stage?

Top team misses a round, second place team plays an extra round against Champions League dropout, same as last season.

That was a messy performance. Not enough work off the ball again.

The players had enough quality to pull that off.

Ronaldo had no luck, it became quite amusing by the end.

If our players had been more selfish in front of goal we would have bagged a few more.

Entertaining if slightly annoying game.

Ronaldo really should be finishing those chances. That’s not age, that’s a lack of composure from putting pressure win yourself

Only saw the first half but clearly EtH saw what everyone else was seeing with the two players he hooked off at half time. Dreadful performances.

Really worried about Sancho and also Ronaldo, though I can see plenty of effort with the latter. Malacia is still a kid and has lots to learn but maybe it's time Shaw had a run in the team again.

Needs the damn bench and a kick up the arse.

We really made a meal of this. Should have scored at least 5 with the chances we made. Lindelof being unable to control a ball and our forwards trying to feed Ronaldo made that unnecessarily tense. Rashford should be going for the hattrick, Dalot should be putting it in the net. A better team punishes those mistakes, but thankfully we're in the EL, so it didn't matter.

So glad to see Martial and Rashford in form. They have that understanding that is needed to break low block teams and should be our starting CF and LW until they lose form. Great finishes from both of them to turn the game around. But MOTM goes to Martinez. He was an absolutely brilliant. His passes are fast and accurate and he found our front players in space time and time again.

Job done, better finishing at OT and the reverse fixture should be an easy win.

Everyone tripping over themselves to tee up Ronaldo is pretty hilarious. Even more so him failing again and again.

Rashford - Martial - Antony will be a very spicy front 3. Sancho needs to sort himself out, get some confidence and balls and start going at players and play with aggression. Bruno is also just not worth starting these days IMO. Feel like Fred will just give us a better balance. Casemiro looked good and composed. Eriksen decent. Martinez is class. Malacia/Shaw should push each other which will help both. Dalot did well. Lindelof should be 1st backup for Varane. Ronaldo needs to retire.

Then he needs to see a sports psychologist. Dunno what the club does in this respect (they should really make this a priority for all players), but Ronnie can afford to have his personal analyst to help him here.

Unfortunately, we're under too much pressure and can't afford to indulge him and play him into goalscoring form, otherwise the whole team will suffer.

The only player who was aware what is going to happen before the second goal of Omonia was Eriksen. Watch the replay.

He is already seeing Jordan Peterson :(

A win is a win but that was a school boy football absolutely awful against nothing burgers

Rashford looked 100x better than Sancho in the LW. Good to see Martial score another goal, felt like he would have scored more if he was playing centrally. Sancho is looking more and more like a flop with every minute he plays. It's very concerning, given his transfer fee and wages.

Ronaldo is done at this level. Ronaldo of last year (let alone peak Ronaldo) would have scored a hat-trick in this game. So many chances laid on a platter, and he couldnt score even one goal.

Martinez was decent, especially playing the ball. Lindelof was Lindelof, always passive and cowardly. Malacia was very poor. And so was Bruno.

Martinez - With Rashford, my man of the match. Loved seeing him clatter about 3 players right after their first goal without getting a card or even a foul. His low hard forward passes are wonderful. Really like his play.

Malacia - Very poor, sloppy inaccurate passes and poor decision making. Works hard but I definitely think he should sit for a few games and let Shaw have a run.

Casemiro - Decent, controlled and calm in the middle. Looks to make himself available. Positioning very good in defensive transitions. His passing is a bit sloppy at times and he still looks quite slow and off the pace.

Antony - Looked a threat in attack. Messed up when he tried to pass to Bruno on his 1 v 1 with the keeper. Nice shot off his left foot cutting in to the middle, thought it was going in.

Ronaldo - Feel for him. Despite everything the effort is there. The mind still reads the game wonderfully but the body isn't quite there yet. Nice pass for Rashford's second goal. Also had a very nice pass along the ground across the goal in the first half. He's definitely not sulking.

Sancho - Not offering much at the moment. Doesn't help much on defence. Doesn't help in short passing to move out of our end. Slows down attacks. There was a period last winter when I really thought he would be a player for us. But, just wasn't doing much today.

Rashford - Great game. Turned things around for us. Looked good playing from the left.

Martial - Have to find a way to keep him in the middle of the field. He's so good there at the moment. Not nearly as effective from the right. The goal was really well taken. A couple of other really nice touches and passes. Excellent.

De Gea / Lindelof / Dalot / Shaw / Erickson / Bruno / Fred / McTominay - Decent, nothing special and not terrible.
