Excellent performance. Did exactly what we needed to do, and that was not let them take the lead. Playing from behind isn't where they are strongest. We looked comfortable defending the lead and didn't need to over commit. Great effort from everyone.

Commentary was purring over Bruno G, but he didn't really do anything today. He's a good player, but he was ineffective throughout. Not sure what all the praise he got today was for.

Surprisingly though, the whole team agreed that the penalty claim wasn’t a penalty. Great feeling to win a trophy again finally. 6 years is long period and I was gutted for days after that loss to Villarreal so another loss would hurt even more.

I hated the game after first 10 minutes, Newcastle started better those 15 minutes or so then we got better but felt we never had control. Casemiro goal and then 2nd killed the game really, we were brilliant defensively despite Newcastle having lots of possession and all those crosses. Dealt with everything without making one mistake.

Don't think anyone played bad, despite the fact we weren't dominant. Just scored our chances (in first half, poor in front of goal in 2nd) and didn't let them to create much.

One thing however - even though we won - I hate watching finals. Gets me too nervous do hope we can win more this season but it's a long road to think about it yet.
