Thought Ole bottled it again. City were there for the taking the last 20mins but Ole refuses to change tactics. Is a point good enough to keep his job til the new year? Probably.

Trying to be positive.

Maguire played well. Thought McTominay and Pogba ok in midfield.

We didn't look like we were hanging on by our fingertips and had some control.

Should have put a sub or two more on. Game was there given how City were playing but we wanted not to lose.

Think Ole deserves some credit for the set up (nullifying City, though their performance helped too) but also a little criticism for not maybe sticking DvdB on and trying to win it. Think players deserve some credit as looked a better unit.

7/10 performance

2/10 entertainment

Supporter means you want the best for the club. I want him out for that very reason. If you’re happy with him you lack ambition simple as that.

You sound gassed with that 0-0. Champagne popping tonight?

I'm not gassed. I'm not disappointed though either. It was a tight game that could have been sneaked by either team.

I said before Westham that if we got 4pts from that game and the derby we'd take it. We did.

Move on to the weekend now.

Going into the match, City averaged 16 shots per game, of which 5.4 were on target. Against us, they had 9 shots according to the official stats (I counted 10 ?). Official stats say they got 2 on target. Only the 2nd match in the PL this season in which they have failed to score. That's a decent defensive effort from us.

Having said that, I thought they had the better chances, indeed the only serious openings.

Lindelof, McTominay and Pogba played well. Rashford and Fernandes disappointing.

Team looked exhausted in the 2nd half. Surprised that only Martial came on, and even he appeared later than he might have done.

Too many occasions when we opted to pass the ball backwards from a position inside their half.

Same crowd that expected us to get hammered will now moan the game was boring.

Played well. Can’t blame Ole for setting us up like that and the players not having that killer instinct in the final third.

Fair.

I do have a gripe with Shaw being man of the match??? For what? Playing solid on defense? Big freaking deal. He's so lazy.

I thought Harry and Victor played very well. I guess Shaw played well, but think I realize I cannot remember when he ever made it into the City half. So Lazy.

Bruno needs a day off.

I'm still just bummed out from the RBL loss.

Harry and Victor did their bit. Unfashionable to say but Shaw didn’t do bad at all today.

Our problems mainly are the other end of the pitch.

Think the RBL result has upset everybody so much, that we were looking for a big lift today. The result in itself was not bad, but the intent was.

You’re entitled to your opinion, and yes, a 0-0 draw with City isn’t a bad result, but aren’t you sick of this style of play? City had 3 “big” chances today, we had none, and city were shit to. We’re so god damn negative. Played got a 0-0 against City, Chelsea & Arsenal at home. We’ve been going round in circles under Ole for a year now & I’m sick of it.

He’s in self preservation mode right now. Playing not to lose.

I wanted to see us go for it at the end but it's a good point vs a good team.

Fergie used to say be within touching distance over Christmas, that's exactly where we are. I'll take it. You can't win every game.
Tbf during SAF time 4 points off the top by Christmas usually meant second with a comfortable distance between yourself and 3rd . Right now it means we’re 8th and 4 points from top with 3 other teams on the same points as us but also 4 points from 13th.

Ole saying this was our best performance in his time against City is just silly, bless him.

I think you need to read far deeper into his comment.

People say our mentality is bad but I see it improving and not playing 5 at the back against the best teams helps with that.

I think what Ole thinks is we didn’t play ultra defensive and were a bit more adventurous than normal.

Still feel we should have ended the game a lot more adventurous with rashford martial and Greenwood up top.

I do believe we made Pep think a little more today about the opposition however that’s also a lot to do with their league position.

Look it's not a bad result. There's really not that much to talk about. We'll probably lose a bit of ground to the top of the table but it's not like we dropped points to the likes of West Brom. We were alright. Had our chances, so did they. A draw a fair result really.

We should only have eyes on whoever is above us, I'm sure this is all Fergie did. Don't worry about teams below you.

If we played more expensively and got beat 3 nil what kind of things would you be posting on here tonight? Be honest you'd be destroying Ole and asking for him to go and you know it.

Think I saw you predict 3 1 to City multiple times this week. We drew 0-0 and you're not happy we didn't win. Make your mind up.

We aren't the best team in the league anymore. I don't think you've come to terms with it yet it seems.

Our problems mainly are the other end of the pitch.

Issue I had today was movement all over the pitch but more so from the midfield two. Tactic was to play the ball from deep but because Fred and McTominay were so static it forced a lot of ball to passive sideways passing. When really it should have gone into Fred and Mctominay to transition into quick football. Alas no.

I never made a prediction. Might have been the other “Schmeichel” guy?

I just feel like we’re going in circles under him. The league is there to be won this season & it’s frustrating because with a decent manager we’d have a real chance.

2nd half was shocking. Zero excitement and zero entertainment. We could have got 3 pts out of that but tbh we didn't look arsed. Can't remember a game where so many talented players offered so little. OGS looked like we'd won the PL after the whistle. Says it all!

Liverpool will win the league. Put any manager in the world you want in charge and we'd not win it.

Ole will get till May. Then a decision will be made. Nothing is happening mid season unless the wheels come off big time so you may as well give it a rest now. We get it.

The only thing that was more baffling than Marcus being offside when he shouldn't be is the fact that Graeme Le Saux on NBC said it isn't a penalty when Walker blatantly kicks Marcus on the foot and he goes down. Foul. In the box. Pen all day. But offside, fine. Still a pen if he wasn't offside.

Le Saux is such a prat, along with Arlo. They are the worst. Anyone is better.

4 wins and a draw from Everton (A), WBA (H), Southampton (A), West Ham (A), City (H).

We all would have taken that.
Now we need a similar return from a kinder run of fixtures in the next few weeks and we’ll be a lot closer in January than we’ve been for a fair few years.

It's really not a bad result. We still have a hangover from the loss on Tuesday. It takes some work to shrug off that CL exit, so I have to give them credit for staying disciplined enough not to lose that game, which would have been even worse.
On to the next game.

If Ole can get them on a winning run, this point will be looked on as good.

Wouldn't go that far that anyone is better, but they both love a dig at United and it's boring, repetitive, and full of shit. Le Saux said it'd be 1-3 City, but failed to know that City haven't played that expansive all season long and they deployed two defensive mids today.

Then Arlo White goes and says that Ole is the first United manager to lose his first 6 of 10 CL matches....which is fine, but he lost to PSG twice, Barcelona twice, RB Leipzig, and Istanbul. Only real major shock is Istanbul. Beat PSG twice, and once as a two-legged knockout tie. Just finding shit to knock Ole and the team without real context is just trying to get a row in against them.

I get the feeling a lot of the usual suspects were hoping for a defeat tonight and had set their stall out to attack the manager regardless.

What's rather obvious is the lack of attacking options on this team, it solely relies on the counter-attack and if that doesn't work, they run out of options. When we do build up play through the back, to the midfield and get it to the forwards in a non-counter attacking tactic, we are so slow on the ball the opposing team has all the time in the world to get men back and set up. Once that happens, it's Rashford trying to dribble through two guys or hoping Bruno does a 1-2 with someone.

/yeah. The hardest job Ole has now is to get them refocused. It's not as simple as we would like it to be. Praying now we just go on a run.

Positivity! Let’s see how we do with the ‘kinder’ fixtures

I thought we set up really well, but we weren't clinical enough. If Bruno has a better game today we win.

I had to watch the game on delay, while my daughter smashed the absolute granny out of her new xylophone and I won't lie, guys, that was not a well spent 90 mins.
