Didn't half keep on about it!

If it's so bloody bad, how he is getting into the picture now, under a proper no nonsense manager!?
100%.

If he was a bit let's say loose, the manager clearly made it clear what he wants to see and must be seeing it given his recent game time. End of the day he's a young lad still learning his game and the expectations of what goes with being a professional footballer.

Palinha won’t be staying at Fulham very long.

Stoked to have a player like Martinez in the team. He leads by example, tackles like it’s personal, and is clever with the ball. No longer terrified when we have the ball on the edge of our box. He never panics, and have an ice-cold player at the heart of the defense makes the rest of the defense feel more secure. Opponents can smell fear, and Martinez is afraid of nothing.

Except for finishing we didn’t play badly. Any of those 3 or 4 chances goes in, and it’s a complete different approach from Fulham, no one doubts Ten Hag or his subs.

Oh man! The Macheda moment is etched in memory and always worth a mention. Maybe watch his interview on Vibe to appreciate how much he regrets what happened with his attitude after.
Thanks for the tip - I'll do that :-)

We badly needed that win.

Hopefully our players either don't play or get knocked out early and we can have a nice rest. Sense that they're probably all knackered and we need some players to be fully fit after returning from injury.

I'm very happy for World Cup because in good form we are not. ETH needs to rethink some ideas.

9 wins in 12 games which we played in around 35 odd days, with several first teamers injured. With a world cup around the corner and the constant shitness of having to play Thursday and Sunday. I think we've been brilliant.

Only seconds away from making a meal of it. Trying to be direct is one thing, constantly hoofing the ball is another. It was infuriating at times and it almost cost us the three points.

Garnacho looks like a real talent and, fortunately for him, he's playing under a manager who can help him take his game to the next level.

De Gea was in God mode again, and Lindelof responded well after the debacle at Villa Park. Malacia had his issues but managed to hold his own. Martial started well but gradually faded out of the game. Bruno showed both the best and the worst aspects of his game in 90 minutes.

After the opening two fixtures, i would have bitten your hand for us to be just a glimpse away from a top-four spot at the WC interval. I believe we can say we've done OK, all things considering.

For those who are still wondering whether Fred must get a new contract, replace Eriksen with him in the starting line-up, and that's a draw or a loss for us today.

Is there a link? (What did he say?)

I don’t know, it’s the fluff piece interview after the game, is it available somewhere?

Basically said:
-That the players and fans don’t want the World Cup at this time
-The surroundings is a shame, everyone killed at construction sites
-Football is for everyone, it’s a shame that the cup is played at a place that isn’t for everyone
-This World Chp shouldn’t have happened

Super finish. Never give up! On a separate note, boy do we need another right-back.
Yeah - Malacia did his best but found things tough having to defend a different side to which he's used to

I find it strange that people keep saying it was smash and grab or we stole it. Our football was weird but we created better chances by far. It was our finishing that almost let us down. Familiar story but it was far from smash and grab.

When you look back, we really did have a great month. It was a fecking nightmare but we came through it well.

We are far from the finished product. But that’s to be expected as a few players need to leave and a couple more need to arrive. Hope we get a striker in the coming window.

Average performance but great finish.
A lot of people will forget the officiating from this game but it very nearly cost us dear. Their goal came straight after an incorrect offside when we were attacking and I don’t know what we have to do to get a penalty!
apparentely it’s fine to knock an attacker over without touching the ball.
United have been on the end of horrendous decisions.

That’s not even mentioning the fixtures we had in all of that.

The Villa away result is the only blip

We'll never be able to dominate these poorer sides with both Fernandes and Rashford in the team, both have really poor ball-retention. You could get away with one but not both

Wins a win and that was one we badly needed heading into the World Cup break. A lot of our players switched off in the 2nd half probably with the World Cup on their minds.

Only saw the highlights but we looked the better team overall in them. Martial up front looked like it was a decent improvement even though he didn't look like he even had a great game

Bigger picture, good point.

United created a number of easy chances and should have put the game to bed before the magic from Garnacho.

United looking untidy and out of sinc today was the imbalance in the team. Antony's absence is massively affecting the team and Malacia today was a lost soul in unfamiliar surroundings.

Wow, that was a really entertaining one. To be honest, a draw would have been fair - Fulham came to play and we struggled to dominate them (and at times to contain them). Not too unexpected - we're not the first, and their only loss at Craven Cottage so far came against City.

Garnacho; unbelievable. That burst of speed he's capable of putting in to give himself that half meter when he needs it is already looking like a trademark. Should have had a penalty too, in my opnion.

Obviously a new game plan today - we struggled to keep possession and didn't look like we were too interested in that, very direct in our attacking. Worked well in the first half, not so much in the second.

And I'm still traumatized by watching Daniel James crush Lisandro Martinez - twice. Like a bad dream from the past rising to quench the hope of a better tomorrow. :)

I remember some of the first key moments when players like Ronaldo, Rooney or Nistlerooy first played for us. I think I will remember this moment from Garnacho as well. (But I do remember Macheda and Januzaj`first key moments too, but I will not mention them;-))

In fairness I genuinely never rate players early, Macheda I expected nothing of and was genuinely surprised when he scored. Januzaj was the same but he seemed to do it over a longer spell then just ran out of form and never recovered. With Januzaj United were monumentally shit the line up was dire so he was what literally everyone pinned hopes on, so perhaps fans can be forgiven for Januzaj hype at the time. Because of Januzaj I didn't really jump on the Rashford bandwagon either but he's obviously done quite well but could have done better.

Garnacho has better qualities than Januzaj and Rashford. He has an elegance like Giggs and Best did running with the ball. He also seems to have a good pass on him.

I don't know if he's two footed, or what his finishing is really like though, Greenwood has rifles for both feet, Garnacho I really don't know. I always think don't put pressure on the kids and see how they perform over a year really.

Very good win. Can’t wait to see Antony on the right with Garnacho on the left

There can be no doubt about it. His ability to hold up the ball and initiate the attack and then join it is so what this team needs. I'd say he looks like a better option than Rashford, and a much, much better option than Ronaldo, at striker right now.

First half I thought we did really well and should have got a few more goals, although we were awful down the right hand side and it’s a good job Mitrovic was missing. Second half we were poor and they were the better side imo, the goal was very naive defensively and we gave the ball away and conceded possession far too often and in bad areas.

Great 3 points to finish off with but some glaring holes in the squad which would hurt us on another day!

Finishing really let us down in this match. If we could finish, it’d finish 3-1 and it wouldn’t have looked like such a slog.

Garnacho looked a threat as soon as he came in and what a brilliantly taken goal by him. Went for placement over power like he was an experienced pro.

Malacia didn’t look great but he was tasked to operate in a foreign position to him, so I can’t be hard on him.

ETH said the same in post match about the right side

This. In spades.

Some people are so short sighted, it’s mind boggling.

If we take our easy chances it’s not a shit performance. We need to learn to be clinical.

Exactly we have this casual approach to taking chances which is annoying. We had seven chances today and took only two of them. Should have scored at least four and game over at half time.

Only watched last 15 minutes or so but delighted about the win, was so important to get 3 points before WC break and we did it. Positive ending to this part of the season, now it's a break from United until late December.

Your man Ream for Fulham is pretty decent. Should maybe have a look at him.

As for the game, frustrating at times, delighted with result.

We need an Ivan Toney/Victor Osimhen is January. More goals is a must.

EDIT: I thought I read Ream was 25 not fexking 35! Nevermind.

Bingo.

I said before the game I didn’t care how the three points came as long as they came. But it’s always nice to bag a last minute winner
