Turns player names into a crappy conversation
Yes, a few that needed a bit of extra work. But a lot of them did well
Casemiro is a liability at the back
Dalot is a liability on the pitch
Antony is a liability on the planet
No, Casemiro went into central defenseSome media outlets were saying Amorim switched to back four. Did he ?
Huh? ReallyShite. I don't know how you take anything positive from that.
It's not management. You can't do anything with the absolute rubbish we have polluting most of the pitch.
We were all over them hahaShite. I don't know how you take anything positive from that.

He let the wingback (Dalot) and the 10 switch in possession for a few minutes and the weirdo on TNT couldn't stop talking about it.Some media outlets were saying Amorim switched to back four. Did he ?
Super crazy what he was doing! Why does Cas have to come on and try the Hollywood pass every time, keep it on the fecking ground lad
The funniest thing about that second half was United wasted so many chances...
...yet I can't remember Hojlund being guilty of it.
As soon as Holjund scored our third we stopped making chances for him. Every single forward player was guilty of guilty wastefulness, especially Garnacho. A bit less selfishness, Hojlund gets an easy cut back and we win easily.
Made it tough for ourselves. Again.
Good performances from Ugarte, Mazraoui, Martinez, Fernandes, Amad and Højlund. Malacia needs U-21 matches. Is there a place for Rashford in this team?
You can clearly see a style emerging,
I think Martinez might be the most under threat when Yoro is fit because Mazraoui is brilliant.
Yeah, possibly, did he not play with 1 winger in a WB spot and a naturel full back in the other?I think there is a fair chance we will see Mazraoui moved further forward into one of the wing back slots with Amad in one of the number 10 spots.
(Obviously all total speculation at this point)
My concern as well, a great coach gets the best out of his players and does not stick to a certain formation. Amorim is stuck with most of the players, I cannot see us selling a lot of players to generate a lot of income. Hopefully Shaw and Yoro will add pace to the back line. Wingback is a major concern.Unpopular opinion. I'm not entirely happy with Amorim so far. (Although i support him full time). I understrand what he wants from the team, I get that his favourite formation is 3-4-3 but... He should see that he does not have the right players for that. At the moment 3-4-3 seems like some kind of suicidal formation with Malacia, Antony (khm....) and whoever else on the sides. Luckily our opponent was the 42 million euro Bodo/Glimt so we could score some goals (was nice to see Hojlund finally being fed by the others) but the defense was just as tough as a wet sponge. Against a better team (not to mention a top team...) it could have been a disastrous loss too. As they say the squad determines the tactics not the other way round, and forcing to play 3-4-3 with players who don't fit and will be sold as soon as possible maybe not the wisest of idea.
Bodø/Glimts narrow shape was what generated a lot of space for the wide attackers. Smart choice too, given how poor Malacia and Antony was.Overall, patchy. Good in parts, poor in parts, but an entertaining game with a lot of talking points.
On the plus side, Hojland had a fine game, being involved in all our goals. Mazraoui - what a dude. Watching him with those guys was like seeing a Rolls Royce glide through an Asda car park. The midfield was no longer a total void, and Ugarte did some good work. The spell either side of half time was really good. At times the defense looked composed. Mount struggled to find space, but if you watched him, he was actually making some decent runs. But in the first half at least, the entire attack looked on different wavelengths, so he never really connected. But I think there was some promise there in what he did.
The thing I liked most was how this formation generates a lot of space for wide attackers. I really think that's going be exciting for United fans to watch. Main problem was that we had Antony and Malacia in the wingback positions, so they did very little with it. But I think if Amad and, er.., well, some left wingback we don't currently own could make the most of that space, it could be a really exciting feature of our game.
On the downside, both goals spoke volumes about how unused to this formation we are. Players pulled left right and centre, with huge gaps appearing when they did. Lots of players struggling - Rashford, Garnacho, Casemiro, Antony, Malacia. While the formation is part of the problem, lets be honest, its not that different playing in a back 3. Other teams manage to switch between formations with less problem. These guys act like we've asked them to play with a rugby ball for gods sake. We need some of these guys to improve, sharpish.
Plenty to chew over, but enough positives to leave me happy.
