Excellent game that. Could have been easier at the end but Casemiro just made it such a ping pong game. Him and Dalot may have lost the ball at least 10 times each in 30 mins!

Made hard work of it.

Standard performance at this stage, screw up good chances and give away stupid shit at the other end.

Overall though, positive signs.

Made a meal out of what should have been a routine win. Gave them two goals & then failed to score from the chances we created.

Decent performance overall. Still a lot of work to do. Some of it will only happen once we can get 3-4 better players, mainly at WB and the attack.

Cannot wait to see how this develops. Great game, awkward moments but you can really see what he wants to do.

It’s very promising, but it’ll take time. Many of these players will adapt to his system and other’s he’ll have to buy, some won’t make it. Interesting times ahead.

Happy with Amorim's first win, even if it should've been much more comfortable. If any for our other forwards could finish it could've been 5. Mazraoui, Ugarte and Hojlund were great. We can see what the idea is, even if the execution is failing at this time. That's all that can be expected at this point really.

I enjoyed it. We still have a lot to learn and there are going to be many screw ups along the way. We really need to get used to looking to feed Hojlund at every chance.

Good in some parts, you can see what Amorim is trying to do. Team is still prone to brain farts, and our decision making in the box at times was erratic. At lot of work to do, but there is potential, we're getting players back from injury, I like how proactive Amorim is.

Not perfect, but there are some positives.

Seriously lacking quality. The likes of Rashford, Bruno, Dalot have no ability of helping the team have a proper build up. Garnacho misses too many sitters.

Encouraging, still a long way to go but you can really see what he wants from the players. Mazraoui, Ugarte and Höjlund where very good today, hopefully the rest of the players can improve their game to a similar standard as those 3 and things will start to look a lot better.

Mainoo - Ugarte
Mount - Bruno

should be the four midfielder, Bruno can't be one of the sitters, and Rashford/Garnacho are nowhere near good enough to start. Those four should give us, passing/pressing and with Mainoo at least some dribbles.

Insane choice from Amorim to see out the game with no cbs and Bruno in midfield.
I think that’s managing injuries and game time. Licha’s first game back, De Ligt was probably shoed in for 60 mins given his game load and Maz is make shift from the beginning (although he was the best player on the pitch). Best bit of Casemiro was his unintentional handball. Saved us a goal

I felt we completely dominated, one of the most one-sided single goal victories you'll see, but made a lot of mistakes (and really should have scored many more goals). Overall, it's very much a work in progress, but I like what I see and if it comes off, I think it promises a much higher ceiling than Ten Hag's system of play.

Disjointed first half leaving far to many spaces to be exploited. . Second half far we had better control. Made numerous chances and should have been much further infront and not having a squeeky bum late free kick.
Hojlund was immense tonight. Mazz is just a superb footballer. The buy of the summer by a mile.

These players are the ones I think ultimately won’t make it under Amorim:

Rashford, Antony, Garnacho, Bruno and Casemiro.

They just don’t have the skill set or the intensity for it to work for them in my honest opinion.

Hope they prove me wrong.

Ugarte is starting to look like a solid player. It’s promising that the new signings are looking like some of our better players this season, Zirkzee aside.

20 shots on goal and 73% possession while a win is win it was made harder than it should have been but still good to recover from 2-1 behind to win and keep a clean sheet 2nd half.

Shite. I don't know how you take anything positive from that.

It's not management. You can't do anything with the absolute rubbish we have polluting most of the pitch.

We stopped taking that extra pass upfront when Mount went off.

Amorim needs to have a word with our wide players, be a team player or get benched.

Garnacho the main culprit

We are such an odd team, by far the stronger team but still nervewrecking all the way.
So many missed chances, so many mistakes in the middle of the pitch..

How can Dalot make so many odd decisions? I swear he was much better before this season. Maybe the right hand side suits him that much better.
Garnacho must be able to finish better, he do NOT need to go for the top corner every time. Annoying kid at the moment.
Maz class as usual and Ugarte is our best cm. It is him+1.

A good chunk of 2nd half was incredible. Bodø Glimt didn't get a foot to the ground until Dalot came on. We should have scored at least 5 or 6. So wasteful.

Dominated the game really. Pretty good stuff overall. Were always going to be errors and nervy moments.

Really enjoyable game of football and we should have won by more. Maz, Ugarte were superb, a brace for Hojlund is fab too. Still a little too soft when defending transitions but there was a clear strategy in the build up tonight that I hope to see on the future.

Should have been easier
20 shots on goal
I think Garnacho is our main threat going forward and when his decision making gets better, He will become our main threat as defenders are so scared of him.

I can see a plan, an idea…. That’s really all I need right now, it’s like emerging from a week long stint in a coal mine

Good game Rasmus, cracking equaliser. Hopefully he can build on this, setup seems to suit him better than whatever it was before.

Should have won it comfortably in second half, some promising signs but the lack of quality in the wing back positions is going to be a huge issue this season.

The good: Ugarte, Maz, Hojland, Mount
The bad: Dalot, Rashford, Garnacho, Martinez
The ugly: Malacia, Antony

Amorim is fast learning the players he can rely on and the ones who will let him down. The game intelligence of some of our players is just so bad, at times I have to laugh when you can see exactly what the opp player is about to do 10 sec before some of our players figure it out.

I back Amorim 100% in what he's trying to achieve but working with a collection of stupid players isn't going to work out for him!

Maz motm for me, such a good footballer.

Poor finishing made the game tighter than it should have been, nice adjustments.

Good performances from Mount, Hojlund, Ugarte, Martinez and Onana.

Individual mistakes aside, it was a good watch tonight. Some promising signs and enjoyed some of the off the ball movements and link up play. LWB is a big problem though. Dalot is a disaster waiting to happen there and Malacia is probably not fit enough. If we can sign a starting LWB in January and just keep Dalot and Malacia as back up to Amad and whoever we sign then hopefully we'll see some real progress by then.

Had some embarrassing moments in the first half with a unfit malacia getting burnt and dusted by his marker to concede. But after going down we composed ourselves Teething problems are to be expected so wasn't shocked we conceded and struggled in moments.

There were plenty of positives though

The interplay and exchange's were fluid, players seemed to know where each other were and not so much dwelling on the ball waiting for someone else to initiate something.

Antony showed he is pretty useless at wing back. Mount showed he can offer something to the team, thought he played very well in the second half, playing in good passes and putting himself in threatening positions. Mazarouri is one player who has no problems adapting to the system, quick thinking, technical ability, and workrate which a lot of our players lack in one department or the other.

The main defence I saw between ten hag football and amorim is that we defend and attack as a unit and when we need breathers the midfield control the tempo in the middle of the park, where as before we'd see slow passes between the centre backs waiting until they could lump it to rashford or garnacho.

And in the short space of time Amorim has managed to help us not look we don't look toothless and bereft of ideas in the final third and we actually pinnned them back and the players don't look like strangers they look like a team working together instead of waiting for one moment of brilliance like we saw time and time again under hag and ole
