Anyone with video for final scenes? Missed last 3 min due to power cut

Thank goodness. Should never have given ref a decision to make and it's no way going to get overturned. Weak by Mariner probably scared for people saying he was swayed by United. There should have been a yellow right away for Sclupp because he pushed Antony when ball was gone and down the slope but, Mariner / assistant ref didn't care.

We also came out in the second half flat but, 2 goal lead was more than deserved. Didn't understand what ETH was trying to do by not making a sub for Case, Bruno and Fred were just running around and invited that goal by them.

Martinez MOTM, absolutely immense followed by Luke Shaw.

The Casemiro red was dumb because even if his hands are on that straw-haired prick, he's not even looking at him. He's just trying to ensure he doesn't get bumped into

I know I’m fairly biased, but that might have been the most lopsided officiated game I’ve ever seen. Literally called for fouls every time they slipped and we practically had to be tackled to earn one. Not to mention one of the clearest handballs I’ve seen in ages that took VAR to call. Case was dumb on the red, but I really hate these slow-mo VAR decisions on multiple player scuffles. Lucky to have gotten out of that one with 3 points frankly.

It was silly from Casemiro but the ref completely fecked us. It's the softest interpretation of violent conduct you'll ever see. In fact, I doubt you'll ever see another red card like that in the EPL again ever.

It's especially galling as that little albino cnut Hughes was mouthing off and trying to throw himself into the middle of the melee until Casemiro grabbed him. Can't see how one of those things was more violent than the other.

Was a good display up until then. fecking hate Palace. fecking hate Viera. fecking hate Mariner and whatever little goblin was on the VAR today.

Sabitzer looked good. Him and Fred should be enough to see us through until the final.

What kind of nonsense is this?

He put both hands on the guy's neck as if to choke him, in no version of reality should that NOT be a red card.

We were given a penalty 5 minutes into the game and you're whining about the ref. Blame Casemiro for being an idiot, how about? He absolutely deserved to see red.

Martinez is fast becoming my most favorite United player post Fergie. He truly gets it.
He bleeds for us and puts it all on the line, every, single, game!

Our true captain without the band.

Poor from Casemiro. You cannot choke hold players in this day and age when cameras are all over you. Glad we up with a win
Imo it's only a yellow. Casemiro was clearly just trying to calm Will Hughes down. He had no intention to hurt him so it's really dumb to categorise that as some violent conduct.

Anyway great win. And Sabitzer will do more than ok here I reckon.

One of the worst refereeing I have seen.

And Caftards blaming Antony for Casemiro red is ultimate clown fiesta. :wenger:

I blame Casemiro but Antony shouldn't have kicked off in first place.

Such a stupid call by Mariner -- Erikson gets a bad foul by Carroll and he gets off scot-free. This nothing hand on throat call gets a red?

the foul on Sabitzer was ridiculous especially b/c he had put Rashford through on goal after clearly winning the ball ....fuking cvnt ref

Yep. If ref penalized him right away doesn’t escalate

Horrendous end to the game to watch, Casemiro well and truly put us in the s**t.

Fred and Martinez were brilliant after the red and we showed great character to see out the win. Sabitzer looked tidy and definitely wasn't a foul for nicking the ball and releasing Rashford! Joke of a ref.

I haven't watched this, but there's a dramatic range of opinions from the commentators

On Radio 5 Live the sending off is one of the worst refereeing decisions ever, while on BBC Final Score Casemiro is throttling someone

BBC 's live text has a picture, and you can see Casemiro's fingers, so his hands are flat, and more on the shoulders than the neck
Well I watched it, Casemiro has his hands round his neck, you just can't do that, it's a red card any day of the week

Sabitzer has come just in the nick of time. You want game time? You will get game time. Great cameo under the circumstances.

Yeah it was a red. No complaints.

Yeah I’ve not seen it but most pundits are saying the red card is a ridiculous decision yet the Caf seems to think it’s correct?

Unacceptable from Casemiro.

If ETH dropped Rashford for sleeping in I expect and hope Casemiro is disciplined beyond what the league dictates.
Maybe he should suspend him for the season.

It was feck all, he wasn't actually throttling him and a yellow would've sufficed.

feck off you silly begger. If he was choking him Hughes would have known about it, it looks he's holding his collar rather than squeezing his neck. It looks worse than it is because the whole thing was in slow motion.

There's a picture of Ayew actually slapping Fred in the face during the same incident, but VAR didn't feel the need to go through the whole thing with a fine tooth comb for that.

It was handbags. Just book him and move on.

And the ref didn't give the penalty despite being right in front of it, he needed VAR to make him go look again.

So yes, I am blaming the referee, because it was Mariner and he is notoriously shite.

Crucial win. But Antony and Casemiro let the team down today. I hope Antony learns to not engage every time he is provoked. He's a PL winger. He'll get kicked 10 times every match. It's all well and good winding the opposition up but you can't give the ref any excuse to make a red card decision.

Obviously Casemiro didn't mean harm but you simply can't put your hands on a player's neck. Only silver lining is that Leeds and Leicester aren't the worst team to be banned against. Sabitzer and Fred should be able to do the job. Speaking of Sabitzer, that foul against him was a joke call.

The 10 that were on the pitch gave it their all. Fantastic fighting spirit shown. Lisandro Martinez is the embodiment of that spirit. A magnificent player and the best transfer we've made in a while.

Martinez is a fecking one-man phalanx. What a player! Easily one of the best, if not the best, CBs in the league this season.

Marriner was a disgrace today. Most professional football players know when to quit. When will referees follow suit? Almost cost us the 3 points giving that foul on Sabitzer alone.

Im working so only got seeing bits of it. From what I gather watching bits and on Twitter we deserved to win, the ref is an absolute cnut and ten Hag has built a team of absolute warriors that would die on the pitch for this club. That about right?

Quite pleased with the 3 points. Martinez was really good, he reads opposition's attacking moves and perfectly nip them in the bud. Antony needs to grow up, his gamemanship is subpar. He could have feigned an injury and get Schlup a card, instead of his reaction that escalated the scene. He indirectly got Casemiro that red card. I wonder why the match officials decided to give 7 minutes additional time, is there a conspiracy against United?

The heart and desire to hold on for the win, I've missed this so much. We're back, we're truly back. We are a team again. ETH is the absolute best appointment since Fergie no doubt. I am loving us so much now once again.

That would have been an outrage if we'd thrown that one away late on.
Comfy game turning on its head basically because some goon Palace player shoved Antony down the slope. Inevitable scuffle and Casemiro dim to put hands round neck, even in the least threatening way possible!

Still, a big win, and at least Casemiro will be 100% fresh for the Barcelona games!

And did I mention the dippers are now closer to Wolves than us?

Shame Brighton couldn't drop points just for maximum fun

Also it's Brazilian crazy day.

Missed that but, United should appeal for sure now. How is what Ayew doing any different. While it's weak to have given the red but, understandable, fact that same was done in the same exact play but, not even given a card. Club / ETH need to definitely put this forward and bring it up in the press conferences.
