Post-match discussion

I didnt think this team had a comeback like that in them. Great result. Jose deserves credit for the subs and change in formation too

Vintage United for about 30 minutes there... brought back some good memories. Cracking goal to finish it off too.

I have no idea what the first hour was all about.

@BluesJr @Rajma

You along with many others were an embarrassment to this forum and to the club I love tonight.

Feck off and support someone else you spoilt cnuts.

And wait until full time next time.

What are you on about? Someone having a different opinion to you doesn’t make you more important or superior.

I have an opinion, it’s allowed.

Matic: "I think it [the goal] is in my top 10 goals, because I've only ever scored 10."

What a win!! We were rubbish for long periods, but I can’t fault the effort and spirit of the lads in the 2nd half.

What a goal from Matic!! Great goal for a stoppage time winner too!!

I thought bringing on Mata was a game changer but that save by De Gea at 2-2 was simply WOW.

I hope Mourinho has figured out by now that playing Young and Valencia as fullbacks at the same time is a No No.

Great comeback in the second half. Hard to pick a team for Saturday that starting 11 was piss poor.

Just like the good old days.

I put this down to the power of collective, positive thinking. Keep the negative Nellies off the Cafe!

Best game of the season.

It wasn't one of those comebacks where we faced a difficult team and braved the odds. We made it hard for ourselves by not turning up in the first half and so had to comeback. Still, credit where its' due, overturning a 2 goal deficit is a massive progression from the Moyes and LvG eras when we would give up, and even a progression from Jose's first season when we couldn't score 3 even if we tried.

De Gea kept us in the game with a wonder save. Jose, unlike some other managers, was proactive enough to sub on Rashford and Mata. And the introduction of Mata turned the game in our favor as I expected, I really wanted him to start this game because I knew we needed some of his intelligence.

Mata coming on might have been too late even then but for Lukaku and Matic. Lukaku did very well for his goal, and as for Matic, I had a funny feeling it was going to go in before he took the shot. Nearly woke up everyone in the neighbourhood with my girly screams.

God, I am in a good mood for tomorrow. But for eff's sake, we need to upgrade our FBs and get our first choice CBs back.

Clown shoes performances in the first half, paid far too much respect to a proper dogshit side.

Nice to show some fight to be honest. Don’t often get that when we go behind but two wins in a row where we have fallen behind and won. At least it shows some spirit.

Could have killed Valencia today so many times players expect him to run up and get a cross-fieldd pass but he is not even running and makes them look like idiots. Great little dink for the assist for smalling though.

Rashford is new levels of infuriating. Young is at his regular level now, ineffective and a liability. Great amounts of care, consideration and money need to be thrown at the Fullback issue no doubt. Minimum of 3 top level players needed 2x (maybe if TFM is back then just 1)fullbacks and a CM.

HUH! What a absolute rocket by MATIC!!!! Mata changed the game. Young can be benched rest of the season.

We play better when we are under pressure..
Mata must start, Sánchez + Pogba + McTominay does not work
Pogba is horrible controlling aerial balls

That was a classic Manchester United win right there. Matic’s winning goal was a strike fit to win any game of football!

Showed the kind of fight which I thought was lacking in this team. I think it's after atleast 3-4 seasons that we've came back from 2 goals down to win the match. What a feeling.

When the ball bounced in front of Matic and he was shaping to shoot, I was shouting "DON'T FECKING BOTHER!!".... how wrong you can be

I don't want to dampen the mood but no-one can say that was a perfect performance. until the subs were made we were awful. Young especially was shocking. Fullbacks are needed big time in the summer.

The first half was probably in the top 3 of the worst halfs of the decade, I can't remember a team having that much possession yet being so dreadful. But that comeback all made up for it and then some. Cracking goal to seal the 3 points as well!

Saw the last half hour. I understand prior to that we were pretty toothless, and rather aimless. There are issues that need to be resolved.

But the final 30 mins was great. Smalling stepped up. De Gea is, well, De Gea. Lukaku scored a goal worthy of the shirt. His finish highlighted his confidence, and this is having a positive effect on the team. Great goal.

Matic was great before his strike, Pogba brings a poise and class we so need. What happened to McTominay? Sanchez is finding his way, probably finds things all too slow. I can't blame him.

But we played some v decent stuff, attacking wise, and moved the ball well. Let's hope we can build on the better parts of the game.

“I hope you’re not man of the match” - Jose to Matic

What a comeback. Attacking intent subs from Jose got us back into it.

Summariser on the channel I watched had it spot on, when we think about things we're slow and predictable. When it's "must do", we're much better.

That play leading up to the equaliser was quality.

Certainly need to start better on Sat.

We need to sort out these London aways though. That must be the 3rd or 4th time in 2 seasons we've turned up late due to traffic!
London traffic is no secret!

Fantastic game in the end!

We look so much better when we go for it. I guess you can’t really draw much evidence from this since palace obviously backed off. But I think it was against Sevilla when we brought Martial and someone else on around the 75-80th minute and took over the game after being on the back foot until then. I wonder if we’ll ever learn or keep starting with a defensive mindset and basically never get going.

After a dreadful first half and going 2-0 I was not expecting this result! Credit to Mourinho for the subs in the second half, Rashford came on and gave us some width even though he wasnt particularly great. Mata made things move and was very lively. Matic with a much better second half and capped it off with our goal of the season! Huge shout out to Big Dave for saving our asses at 2-2 with an incredible stop from Benteke's header.

I gotta say...THAT WAS A MAN UTD GAME!!!
2-0 down.
Never say die attitude.

Most fans wanted entertainment. The commentators all said that this was the most entertaining match of all the weekend fixtures.
Our team delivered and I have absolutely no complaints.

That 2nd half...DAMN!

What a come back.

EDIT: Am I the only one who was really nervous in the dying few minutes, while we were 2-2?

Oh my fecking non-existent god, my heart was about go meet with that Tesla in the space.
At 2-0 I felt we were going to at least get a draw but what a comeback win.

Crystalbul all over again.

"She canee take the strain capt'n!"

Never been more pleased to see this message  Am still buzzing after that comeback.

How the feck is McTominay lowest rated player? Sanchez should be getting an average of 1.

DDG needs signing up at Pogba wages.
Beaten at the near post for the second goal. Twice in 2 games now.

Great keeper.. best in the world. But not sure he'll consider this his greatest game.

Did Mourinho just say “I hope you weren’t man of the match” then? To which Matic replied “no, no”
