I felt much happier watching us play today. I feel I know where we stand as a team - we matched up to Chelsea for large parts of the game away from home. We ultimately weren't as good, and in an attacking sense we are weak, but I feel confident after watching that that we'll be easy top 4 this year. Mkhi is useless and needs sold, and Herrera is not a patch on Pogba - we knew this already.
We had a go today, we came to play. We lost, but then again we're not quite as good as Chelsea. This felt like Jose trying to do the right thing though - it's all good. But finding some attacking fluidity is a must. We should have scored in the last 10 minutes though - they were backing right off and we didn't have the composure to do anything about it. I'm not sure I saw Lukaku, Rashford or Martial touch the ball in open play while we were pushing for that equalizer, it was all "Matic, to Herrera, to Valencia, to Smalling.." - where were our so called creative players? (Standing in the fecking box - we'd have been better putting Jones, Smalling and Bailly in the box if that's all they were there to do). Matic isn't going to conjure something out of nothing.
