FA D FA Cup 4th Round

Post-match discussion

Its the other way round if you ask me. Some of our squad have sucked the confidence out of LVG. The Leicester shambles was the catalyst for what we're seeing now.

That's nonsense in my opinion. Nothing more than making excuses for him.

It seemed Moyes didn't have the reputation or the experience at the very top level to get the players performing - and as a result he got sacked.

Surely the whole point of bringing in an experienced manager is to have someone in charge who can do that. If, despite all his experience in the game at the highest level, he can't get the players playing then why on earth is he in charge? He looks devoid of ideas at the minute - other than doggedly sticking to a system which doesn't seem to work.

He's done great things on football. That has to be commended and he will get time. But previous success is no guarantee of future success. Look at Wenger - there comes a time when things move on and you're no longer at the cutting edge and you get left behind.

Van Gaal has been out of top level club management for a while. I hope he isn't losing his touch because he's being backed with massive sums of money that may not be there for a successor if it goes wrong. People thought it would be hard to put right what Moyes had done - this would be ten times worse.

What a heroic performance from the lads last night. 0-0 away to the mighty Cambridge was a wonderful result. No wonder they were so nervous. All we could have got was a smash and grab out of such quality opposition. Hope we can get a result at Old Trafford. Proud of the boys.

Cringe!

Today's results just goes to show anything can happen in sports. You just never know. I thought Boro would give City a good game, but am shocked that Chelsea lost - still can't believe it...

Sack Jose - he hasn't got a clue
Love the quotes from yesterday saying if it was Chelsea they would have wiped the floor with them
Oh well the hysterical 12 year olds might now realise the FA Cup throws up a few surprises now and again

I've just got in to see today's results.

We were deservedly a laughing stock for a few hours but basically we're a hell of a lot closer to winning the cup now than we were before last night's match.

Have a look at the home page on BBC Football, the title is 'Shamed', showing Chelsea and City with their heads held in shame. It could have been worse, we could have been on it!

Liverpool couldn't even get the job done and they were at home!

We need to try and make it hard for them.

Who would've thought drawing away to Cambridge would make us favorites for the FA cup

To be fair, it's been two days of surprises. It's been an abnormal weekend.

Now I feel a draw is like a victory after I saw Chelsea and City results

Finally got round to watching the full match 2 days late, after having followed the comments on the Match Day forum to get an idea what was going on at the time. Won't be doing that again - cos most of the comments were only a vague similarity as to what actually happened.
