Should've won that. Biased ref if ever I did see one. Rashford through the middle and it would've been a cricket score... Why does ETH persist with this Weghorst up front? Does he want to justify his buy?

Weghorst didn't play up front at all. Did you watch the game? He played no. 10 on paper but he actually played more CM than anything. Which was weird but whatever.

You missed a great game buddy.

He was protesting about a foul not given on Rashy.

I know, fecking work needs to feck off.

Judging by today's comments though, some people are gutted we did not get a win there. I know this is not the Barca of old, in the Europa League no less, but what a testament that is to Erik's impact.

Barca forum seem to think we were lucky Christensen didn't play.

Thats the shit we`ve been waiting for. Nervy exciting european nights.
The result was fair enough in the end imo. Both teams created a fair amount of chances. Loved it! Good performance overall from the team!

Went in expecting to get crushed. Went out disappointed not to win. Very impressive. Should have subbed out Invisible Man Sancho earlier for Garnacho, though.

Unimpressed by FDJ.
Honestly, was thinking about that. I've not really seen him shine in a game I've watched before. He's just not dominant enough to warrant the noise around him, I don't think

We should have won. Lots of possibilities not well handled offensively. In the end we got lucky
game is still anyone’s to take

How have this lot only conceded 7 goals in La Liga? Is La Liga that bad this season?

Wondering the same. Only let 1 in at home too in 10 matches. In Europe they've now conceded 14 in 7, and 9 in 4 at home.

We didn't really look like we were on Arsenal's or City's level just yet in our away games there yet we looked better than Barcelona on their patch.

Hard to tell off such small sample sizes but I think we'd have a good chance of winning La Liga if we were in it.

Still, I don't want to play down our performance today, thought we were really good. Most enjoyable United match I've watched in ages. Great signs for the future too as we still have quite a few ways we can improve.

The lads were up for it today. Excellent performance. Just lacking a bit of depth with the team showing tired legs at the end and no proper substitutions available. I thought Bruno especially had a great game.

Leaving Camp Nou with a 2-2 draw and being unhappy not to win speaks enough of this team, ETH and how far we come. Shame we didn't kill a game with a third goal, a little more concentration and we would be clear winners tonight.

We were great for 80 mins against Barca away, can't complain about that. Really like this team. Rashford shades of Cristiano '08.

Yes but still they are leading la Liga, in form, playing great football. It has been looking more like traditional Barca. So definitely a statement performance imo.

Played really well but ultimately disappointing to only come away with a draw. Hope we don't rue those missed chances at the end of this tie.

Very entertaining game , should be some atmosphere in Old Trafford next week

We made Barca our bitch

Yeah. He's playing Fellaini's role when at Everton. Not as good. But Fellaini is the ball chested GOAT.

If ETH can make of Weghorst a midfielder, I cannot even think about what he can do with FDJ.

I don’t know what channel I’m watching but Jason McAteer is so upset he can barely speak

He can probably see ETH and a few additions we're coming back like an 18 wheeler.

"aint no survivin' with ETH drivin'

What an amazing game that was. Great to see Utd back going toe to toe with Barca.

A bit gutted tbh, we should’ve won that game with the chances we created. I think it feels worse because we were winning 2-1 but it’s still a good result away from home. If we play like that at OT I think we’ll put away those chances and win the game.

Cracking game of football. Feels a bit like a loss cause we were the better team. But a good result.

Rashford is the best player in the world right now.

Barcelona, Arselona. Can't be doing with them. Better team against them in their own back yard.

Standard of European referees is, if anything, even worse than here. Can scarcely believe that's possible.

ETH is building something special at this club. Feels like we have identity, confidence, belief.

Ten Hag’s English is improving as fast as our play.

Really entertaining game, enjoyed it. So much more to go with return leg at Old Trafford. What worries me is that 2nd leg vs Barca will take lot of energy off players before Carabao Cup final but it is what it is I guess.

Great European night game between two great clubs.

Great game but have to come away feeling disappointed as we had our chances to win and both goals we conceded were poor by us. Sloppy stuff.

Great game but feels almost regretful not to have won it as we were by far the better team and could have easily grabbed another after 2nd goal was scored. I fancy our chances at Old Trafford though. For the amount of shit I got from my Barca supporting friends, going about how they are going to beat us by at least 5 over two legs they did not really look that amazing.

:)
Fair result in the end. We easily could’ve had 2/3 more but they could have as well with a 50/50 pen call and Casemiro hitting his own post from one yard out. Fancy us to do them OT.

Good summary. We were dominant for most of the second half but Barcelona, to their credit, upped their game in the last twenty minutes or so and could have snatched a winner. Ref was shit for both sides, I feel. The Rashford incident was an utter bottle job but Fred was also a bit lucky not to have had a penalty given against him.

We will likely have Antony back for the next game, plus sabitzer and martinez will be available

Martial too?

We are missing so many players and still more than holding our own.

Martinez, Eriksen, Sabitzer, Antony and Martial all unavailable

He did, even if he left AWB out in the cold on his own in the first half

When's the last time we've played against a massive club like Barca away from home and felt disappointed with a draw? Madrid 1-1 away draw comes to mind.

Can’t remember us outplaying Barca like that in any of our meetings under Ferguson. Obviously too young to remember any of our 90s encounters.

Let’s get the job done next week. Real encouraging. Would be massive to get through this tie.
