RvN was an out and out 9
The only 9 in your list is Hojlund - and he's not played much so far.
I can see where we are creating chances - but the big question is why we're not converting them into goals.
Is it a lack of positioning?
A lack of finishing skills?
The lack of another striker?
He was and one of the greats at that, however, he is not just a coach for the strikers. He is the assistant coach who excelled as a striker when a player. One thing for sure he will have an eye on how to improve our attacking prowess, not just how to score goals. If he could only coach number 9s surely he wouldn’t be ETHs number 2?
we got 4 wingers (rashford, garnacho, antony, amad) and they all have the same party trick, cut inside and shoot, even when there is better options a lot of the time. The players do all the right things until it comes to attack and scoring goals. How many times do we see rashford cut inside and shoot with it being completely wasteful. How many times do we see hojlund score something handed to him on a plate by one of our wingers? Not often.
We have Bruno out of form, wasting chance after chance. Were just wasteful, no doubt about it.
How many times this season do we have more possession, more chances, shots off and on goal. Pretty much every game. All the data backs that most games were in control. Yet we consistently drop points.
Our wingers are not consistently good enough. They are not top top top level.
Bruno out of form affects the whole team.
Our striker lacks service and confidence and gets injured to often. One striker isn’t enough at this level.
Goals win you games and non of the above is working right now. 5 goals this season in the league is poor.
