Good professional performance although individually some shockers. Fellaini
I'm looking at you!

Praying Micky is fine or Sunday, Martial should surely come in and personally I would play Rojo next to Bailly and keep Blind who wasn't very good tonight but still a huge improvement on Darmian.

Hopefully we avoid any Russian, Ukraine opposition in last 16.

The bandwagon keeps on rolling, United still have a realistic chance of three trophies plus an outside hope of the EPL and a decent shout for top 4. I just hope it doesn't end up with the chase for all the trophies resulting in a huge amount of games from now til the end of the season resulting in a lot of games played and no silverware at the end of it all. Europa League is a very realistic prospect, which obviously carries the CL qualification with it.
The goal killed the game tonight, a very competent away performance though, spoiled only by the injuries and red card.

Jose kicked ref? Scandal? No!
ArsenalFanTV? No!
Would love to hear they opinion about us!
Meltdowns at rawk and bluemoon? No!
What a boring evening!
Off to Valencia-Real M.

Wanted to ask about postmatch interviews, pressers?

I would love to win this competition for a CL place as I feel that even though we are not doing much wrong in the league we will be unlucky again. We have two paths to an acceptable end to the season and this one would be kind of sweet.
I would love to win this trophy - no just for the CL place, but to have a trophy we've never won would be great.

Agree with you that we likely to get unlucky in the league - though I hope not...

Controlling games/results is one of the things Mourinho is very good at, always been...

Yes, he's very much pragmatic when it comes to football. It's been very evident throughout his coaching career and it was first evident as United manager during the Community Shield when he took off Mata for Felliani to protect the lead in anticipation for high balls into the box.

They'll both start then.

LOL Yeah, why shouldn't Jose take advantage of some smokescreen if he has the opportunity?

But if they actually miss Sunday, especially Mkhitaryan, I'll be pissed. I thought from the off that today's lineup was excessive. We could've set up more defensively and put Rashford up top and just have him trying to get in behind since 1 goal would've completely killed off the tie. And I seriously didn't think they had a chance of putting 4 or 5 past us. :wenger:

Second yellow was never a yellow!
the sending off didn't change anything for future games, right?
He was suspended for next match cause of the first yellow, and two yellows in same match, still just means one game, right?

Hope Micky is ok for sunday!

Controlled the game: kept possession well for the first few minutes then killed off the tie with a nice goal. We could have scored a few more, but it was a professional performance. Hopefully the injuries to Miki and Carrick are very minor. It was a professional away performance; very Mourinho like. The second yellow for Bailly was unwarranted.

Looking forward to the draw on Friday.

Yes just one game suspension, but he will still be one booking away from another suspension when he returns.

Wouldn't mind if Basti starts with Herrera in midfield with Pogba push further up behind Zlatan in the final. Do it Jose

Mourinho probably regretting the side he picked, he should've played someone like Lingard instead of Mickhi and maybe Rashford upfront.

I'm praying we don't see Fellaini on Sunday!

One game missed but the second yellow in tonight's game means the next time he plays a Europa League game he's only one yellow card away from missing another match.

Wow. I would say Utd have an outside hope of top 4 especially if they get to the semis or final of the Europa League and somehow get passed a very efficient Chelsea team in the fa cup.
Southampton have been written off by everyone except their fans but hopefully will be the first of many trophies

Why one booking away?
Thought that was already in affect after his first yellow?
Or was it cancelled by the second yellow?

Cool thanks.
Answered the question i just asked in previous post.
Didn't know this.

Yes, first yellow meant he would miss next match anyway; second yellow means he's still only suspended for one game but the next yellow will mean another one game suspension.

The injury (though we are waiting to see how bad it is) takes whatever shine was on this game off it. Got the early goal, then cruised. Some nice back and forth action. Ref sucked. Diving French twats.

But Micki got injury after 24 mins. It wasn't because he played 93 mins and was sprinting loads etc. Seems like it was going to happen whenever. The recovery team maybe missed some signs or tightness, or it is just a minor random one that happens. The player or team had no idea it was coming in other words.

We can't always wrap up the best players in cotton wool, especially as Mou needed to make sure of the win.

FFS! I missed the game. Just logged on to check the starting line up.

Nice game which I missed. When I tuned in it was about 65th minute but on my stream it was HT..

Now I can go to grab few relaxing beers.

We keep on winning, onwards and upwards!
